I had high expectations of this camera due to the price. I loved the solid build and tough box construction. But the photos disappointed me over and over again. I have bought Canon Elph Powershot cameras for over (5) years because they take unbelievable, high quality photographs. Long story short - I returned it and purchased a 10 megapixel Canon at Sam's Club. The other issue is that X-D cards are expensive and not always compatible with universal card readers, especially on laptop computers.Digital camera Review: Broke after 8 months

Bought this camera for a snorkeling trip. After two days it proved not to be waterproof. I didn't go below 2 ft before getting a warning to "close the battery compartment" except I never opened it once, It had been sealed properly the 2 previous days. Camera got moisture in the compartment and now does not turn on! It remains to be seen what olympus will do about it.Digital camera Review: Camera for the Desert

I'm a soldier over in Afghanistan and I have to say that this is the perfect camera for this enviroment. The camera's durability, especially it's toughness and ability to keep out dust or in my case sand is perfect. I also really like it's setting that allows you to take pictures when your moving and have the picture come out clear. After a few light uses I was surprised to get a CARD ERROR on an OLYMPUS card (which you have to use or some of the functions are not supported!) Called tech support and they said to purchase third party software!! Would not send NEW card. So lost 1/3 of our Hawaiian pictures. And there are whole websites about this problem. Now you know.
