Digital camera Review: Good quality - But you should know what you buy!

I would like to start with some simple advice:
- This is a mono MIC-input microphone (quite normal), NOT a LINE-in source (typical stereo)!
- It's ment for recording speach.
- Adjusting the phone output volume (or your voice level) may be needed.
There is a big difference between a mic-input and a line-in-input. Most mic-inputs (like in voice recorders, and many laptop-inputs) is mono and have a power source (to drive the mics who need it). Line-In-inputs, like in many MP3-player (mostly stereo) is different, and don't have any power source.
And, this mic, in my opinion, is designed to record voice, not music etc. The frequency range is a little limited. But that is not a negative for speach recordings, in my experience.
I find it most useful in pure mic-inputs (incl. my laptop), where I want to record clear voice audio. The quality is actually quite good. But, remember to adjust phone/voice-levels if needed.
If your own voice is louder than the one you speak with (that some complain about), either turn your phones output level up, or speak a little lower. Very simple! I turned my phone level up, and now both voices has about the same level.
I have used it many times for work-related discussions (many on the same line).
The quality of the product seems good, at least for the price. I haven't have any tech. problems with it. As most items like this, it's not guaranteed a perfect fit. It all depends on your ear shape. It include different sizes ear "plugs", so it may fit nicely.

I was looking for a device that would record phone sessions that gave superior sound quality and this little gadget does just the job. It can be used with my cell or home phone--any phone for that matter. I plugged it into the microphone jack of my computer and used the free program Audacity to record my first session and it came out crystal clear on both ends of the conversation. Using the computer to record gives me endless recording time; most of my sessions run 1 to 2 hours so you are only limited by disk space. My first session was 1hr 10min and was only 38mb. This little microphone really helped me with a telephone educational conference that I attended recently for which I needed to have detailed notes. I used my cell phone to attend the conference and this little microphone paired with a Sony digital recorder allowed me to not miss any of the details for later study. It has really good sound quality and it is easy to use.
