Digital camera Review: Great device

This is a better deal than an iPod. It doesn't have downloading, but you can copy MP3 and WMA files to and from your PC as easily as using explorer. It syncs with MS media player, Real Player and Winamp. The downside is that the buttons are small and the manual is a bit pompus, but this thing has got a lot of really neat features. Don't forget to tie with a string around your neck because they can "get away from you". This holds 1gb of files.Digital camera Review: Great digital recorder

I bought this recorder to use for notes and keeping track of my daily events concerning work. I started to use it without the manual right off and did fine however I suggest you read first, there are things that are not self explainatory. The quality of the sound is excellent. Its a little hard to hold and operate because of my big hands but I'm getting more use to it and am having no problem. The only real drawback is that you can't name the files. The default is A,B,C,D and E. Perhaps if I read a little further in the manual they can be changed but I haven't got that far yet.
I recommend this to anyone who is in need of a great recorder.

Digital camera Review: Great except for the battery cover, which renders the whole thing unusable

I've had this thing for over a year and I love it. It's light, the sound quality is good, it's got a year of recording time...
...except that the battery compartment has a flimsy plastic cover that kept coming off in my pocket. This probably would have been OK if it had come with a carrying case, but no go. I kept it in my inside jacket pocket for easy access. After about 6 months I found that when I reached for it about half the time the case had come off, the battery had come ajar, the juice had drained out of it, leading it to forget the date and time. Moreover, with the battery ajar, it made some electrical connection and drained the battery itself! So about half the time I needed it, it wasn't usable.
Finally, the cover came off and I lost it completely, meaning that *every* time I reached for it I had to put a new AAA battery inside, since the old one had gotten drained.
I'm about to go look for a replacement on Amazon. Hopefully in a year and a half someone's invented a substitute...

I would recommend anyone going to school have one of these. I bought this for my wife 3 years ago and have had no problems. It holds hours of lectures and is easy to operate. Battery lasts a good amount of time and batteries are easy to find and cheap to replace. My wife is not the easiest on electronics and it has held up to her abuse just fine. I bought this recorder because of school. I find it very helpful and to top it off I have placed some of my favorite mp3 in it. When I am not using it in school I use it as my mp3 player while working out at the gym. Definitely a great buy!
