Digital camera Review: Not perfect, but works

I needed a speaker shelf for my center channel speaker and figured I'd give the OmniMount a try. I have a 36" Sony which has rounded edges on the front of the TV, so the shelf doesn't lay flat. I have it laying up a little so that the center speaker is pointing slightly down.
Not quite perfect for my TV, but it still works.

Unit seems stout and attractive. It is much better than a plastic shelf my mother-in-law bought at a drugstore. I especially like the perforations that allow air circulation.
However, be ready for some intellectual 'fun' trying to decipher the instructions. Because I had read the previous reviews, I knew the "instructions" were poor. After a career as an engineer, I am tempted to buy another unit as a bad example training unit. I enjoyed the challenge but others may want to fling the darn thing out a window!
All the pieces are there, you just need to hunt them down. Threads are poorly done (one pin was unusable) but irrelevant to me because I installed mine upside down - a good idea from other reviews.

I followed some advice that I found online and actually mounted this upside down so that I didn't need little pegs up front (instead using the lip). Stand fits pretty well and seem really sturdy.
My only complaint is that it is pretty darn deep but I can live with that.
