Digital camera Review: Excellent quality - missing pegs might be operator error

I read the reviews here on Amazon before ordering. I decided to get the shelf anyway, figuring if there were missing parts I could just have them mailed to me. Sure enough, I opened the box and I could not find the front feet. It seemed odd to me that they were ALL missing the same front pegs so I looked carefully.
The people who package this thing screw the front legs (pegs) to the rear swivel feet for some dopey reason. My guess is that most of the reports of missing front pegs are just a case of not finding them. (I was seconds from giving up when I spotted them)
Anyway, the shelf is really nice. The metal is heavy enough and feels "solid". The assembly went smoothly (once I found the pegs). The shelf is a real bargain at this price and nearly invisible on the tv with a speaker on it.

I have a JVC 56 rear projection DLP TV and needed some place to put the center channel speaker. I have a Bose center channel that would not fit or sound good in the entertainment center below the TV. It took me quite some time to find this shelf but it works perfect. It took me all of 15 min to mount and the thing I like most is the form factor is minimal (granted that I do have a large center channel).Digital camera Review: GREAT!!!

I'm not a big fan of this shelf. It uses double sided tape to hold itself to the back of your TV. Also, if you have a newer, shallower Projection TV, it may not have long enough legs for the back. Also, the pegs used to hold it to the front of the TV are huge. They protrude into the viewing area on my TV. One reviewer suggested flipping it over, but I don't think we should have to figure out a way to make this work. I think the manufacturer should have done a better job engineering it. In Summary, it'll work if you're not too picky. If I could do it over, I would have went with a different solution though.Digital camera Review: Good Product

It is a good product. It easily supports the center channel speaker above the television, which is the purpose for which I had purchased it. The only negative I have is the lack of clarity of the instructions. I was able to figure them out but they still weren't as clear as I felt they should be. Thus the reason for four stars instead of five.
