Digital camera Review: Good Product, but throw away the supplied sticky pads
Summary: 4 Stars

My wife and I wanted to mount a TV in our bedroom and we wanted to hide the wires, so we purchased two CMKs for a 6 foot cable run. I painted the covers and they looked great. I only had to do one coat. My wife didn't want to drill any holes in the wall, so I used the included sticky pads instead of the screws. After the first night all the covers fell off the wall. The sticky tape stayed on the wall and wasn't so easy to peel off, but it did come off with a little work. I ended up using 3M Command 17023P Large Mounting Replacement Strips These strips can hold up to five pounds a piece, fit on the mounting brackets perfectly, and can be removed easily. It has been a few weeks now and the covers are still holding fine. If omnimount supplied 3M strips I would have given 5 stars. Over all though, I am very pleased with the product.

Digital camera Review: Good but so wide
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this some months back. It is as advertised. I felt the width is little too much for external sealing!

Digital camera Review: Great concept, but only semi-useful
Summary: 2 Stars

I originally purchased this item to, obviously, hide cables attractively without damaging my walls. It does well at hiding cables, but it works poorly for not damaging the walls. I didn't intend to use the screw holes on the mounting brackets, since I imagined that since it was supporting almost no weight the double-sided tape would do a well enough job and help me avoid putting mundane holes in the wall. Not at all. Because the mounting clips hold the cover by latching on, trying to take the cover off (during installation or to remanipulate the wiring) is nigh impossible without ripping the mounting brackets off of the wall. This in itself wouldn't be such an issue, but there are no release tabs on the tape so there is no way to remove the tape without tearing off a chunk of wall. I ended up using the screw, and damaging my wall anyway - or additionally, since I had already ripped the tape off the wall. If anyone has any tricks on how to more securely use the 3m tape and still pop the covers off then please let me know and I may reconsider editing my review. Otherwise, great product with poor execution for the application it was intended for.

Digital camera Review: Looks great, a little pricey
Summary: 3 Stars

I used one piece to fill an 8 inch gap between my television and my cabinet.

It covers 1 HD cable, 1 set of a/v cables (red white yellow), and the power cable. I believe there might be more room for another cable if small, but it works for me.

I didn't try the mounting supplies it came with. Instead I used a tip that another review gave, saying to use the 3M removable poster hanging strips to tape the cover to the wall. It works great, try the largest strip you can buy. My cover hasn't come off in the 3 months it's been on.

Digital camera Review: Nice product
Summary: 5 Stars

Nice product that is very easy to install. I recommend using the screws and not the tape though.
