Digital camera Review: Accurate and easy to use

We own this scale for a month. It was purchased to replace the German made Soehnle model Gamma. It was very attractive; however, it was not that accurate, because the weight depended on where the feet were placed on the scale. We also used another Soehnle model Piano, with four sensors instead of one. It suffered from the same problems of poor reproducibility.
Professional fitness evaluation at a Fitness Center focused our interest on body fat, body muscle, and on visceral fat. After asking around and searching the Internet we decided to purchase the Omron HBF-516. Programming the scale was easy as the instructions were clearly written. We were pleasantly surprised that the body fat, body muscle, and visceral fat results on the Omron scale matched the results of the professional evaluation.
After one month of use we are very satisfied with this scale. It's easy to use and gives a self-esteem boost when following the results of our low carb diet.

For all the people who said this item was inacurate. I totally disagree. I have used it now for about a month and have crossrefernced data through other sources for acurracy. It checks out. Those people who don't buy the age readout need to realize that this product is sold worldwide and compared to other areas the U.S. is generally overwieght thus the age readout will seem high. If you allow for a bit of leeway in it's accuracy (my engineer husband and I think it's only accurate to plus or minus 1 percent) and note that the manufacturer didn't allow for the 1 pound handle (just subtract 1 pound from you indicated weight) this is a very good way to monitor your weight and changes in muscle mass when on a workout / weight loss program.Digital camera Review: Fun and motivating

I purchased the Omeron Body Composition and ScaleOmron Full Body Sensor Body Fat and Body Composition Monitor several weeks ago and love it so far. It was easy to set up and relatively easy to understand the directions. I find the information that it generates very interesting and it's been motivating me to try to increase my muscle mass and decrease my fat. With this scale, I can see for myself when I'm losing fat or when I'm losing muscle so you know which exercise or diet plans are working and what aren't. It's a good buy for the money and if you're in the market for a scale - why not get all the information you can from it?Digital camera Review: Good scale, missing body water monitoring feature

I purchased this scale to monitor the "decrease" in my body fat, but was also looking for a scale with body water monitor feature. My body retains a good deal of fluids and I was interested in this feature so I don't panic each time I see the scale creep up a few pounds. This scale appeared to very accurate, with the exception of the body age - it registered 58 years old with my workout schedule not very likely! The hand held portion of the scale that's needed to get the weight, BMI, etc., appealed to me as similar scales in this price range didn't have this feature. Hate to send it back, but it's not meeting my needs.
