Digital camera reviews of Ooma Core VoIP Phone System

Digital camera Review: A bargain
Summary: 5 Stars

The device does all what it claims to be. With or without the prime features which costs $ 99 a year it is a good bargain . It connects easily and in very short time. Work well and the call quality is excellent.

Digital camera Review: A few things the other reviews do not mention ...
Summary: 4 Stars

So far we have had a positive experience with ooma, but here are a few things they do not tell you:

1) HEAT: Those cool-looking ooma hubs run warm on top, and downright hot underneath. Kinda strange because the power supply is outside. How much current are chips in this thing using, and why? When it burns out, I will have to plunk down another $200. I'm thinking, maybe that is how they plan to make their money.

2) INTERNATIONAL: The "famous" prefix number, 1019898, routes calls to a toll service whose domestic fee is 10 cents to connect plus 2 cent per minute in 6 minute increments. Ooma being free is cheaper -- but wait, not for international calls. To the United Kingdom, 1019898 charges 1 cent per minute to reach a land line and 15 cents for a mobile, while ooma charges about double (1.9 cents and 33 cents, respectively).

That's it so far.

Digital camera Review: A great product
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought ooma after a lot of online research and a friend recommendation. I was hesitant because of a couple of reviews that claimed the customer support is bad. But when I needed to cut my expenses, especially the hefty phone bill, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I sent them an email before buying the hub asking about the minimum internet speed requirements. I expected the answer next day but I got he answer in exactly 2 hours. Setup was very easy and no brainer if you follow up the quick guide. After installation, I needed to cal tech support b/c I heard static on the line. I could get to a live person in no time and he was very helpful and helped with my problem. Now I'm very happy that I saved $50/month.

Digital camera Review: A great product,
Summary: 5 Stars

Ooma has the potential to stand among the greatest contributions to humanity. It is reasonably priced, easy to use and works great. It frees us from the tyranny of the phone company and their ever increasing greed. The few times I have contacted support, Ooma personnel has been extremely friendly and helpful. I hope they grow and prosper.

Digital camera Review: A great replacement for AT&T!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is great. I've switched two phone lines over to Ooma, and the savings is huge; for $99/yr (for the Ooma "Premier" features) I get better service than what was costing me over $1,000/yr from AT&T. The box was easy to set up and configure, and the times I've called Ooma tech support they've been competent and helpful. Call quality is better than AT&T.

In two months of use Ooma has been more reliable than AT&T; our AT&T lines were frequently filled with static, and in three cases went dead for over a week at a time.

By the way, if you see old articles on-line talking about Ooma's "Distributed termination" scheme (routing calls through other Ooma boxes) ignore them; Ooma no longer does this. They now route all calls over the Internet.
