I had this delivered to me roughly under 5 days to my door which is impressive because my e-mail said 7-12 days. I love the price & I love this lens hood! It does what it's made for. I don't know about the other reviews here complaining about fitment issues but I never had that problem. There IS a slight gap between the lens and the hood but it's nothing to worry about.=)

These types of lens flares occur when indirect light rays pass through the front lens elements but don't make it all the way through to the image sensor. Opteka's EW-78BII Lens Hood is designed for the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens. Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.
