Digital camera reviews of Opteka RC-4 Wireless Remote Control for Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, XTi, XSi, T1i, T2i, T3i, 60D, 7D & 5D Mark II Digital SLR CamerasDigital camera Review: Canon T1i remote functions work Summary: 3 Stars
As previously noted the remote works with my Canon EOS T1i. With the remote capability selected on the camera, the "s" button takes an instant picture...The "2s" button takes a two second delayed picture. When in Movie mode on the camera, the "s" button again takes an instant picture and the "2s" button starts recording a video clip. Pressing "2s" again during movie clip will stop the movie recording. As yet, I have found no functionality for the W & T buttons. Overall, the remote does what it is supposed to and is a nice- inexpensive addition to the camera.
Digital camera Review: Cheap, easy & reliable! Summary: 5 Stars
I was tired of never being in the picture! This cheap little remote did the trick!
Also, the kids think it's fun to press the button, so we get more photo opportunities!
Very small, and simple to use. Highly recommend.
Digital camera Review: Cheap. Summary: 3 Stars
Works fine with my Canon 5D Mark ii, HOWEVER, I wish that I had known before I purchased it that is only works in front of the camera! I take many waterscape photos (including slow shutter speed) and need to compose the shot behind the camera, and use the remote to take a shot without bumping the camera. I'm sure this remote is fine if you're using it to take self portraits. Ha! Not this gal!
Digital camera Review: Cheaper and just as good as Canon's Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great item since it costs a lot less than Canon's original and works the same. Its only problem is the distance.. don't expect to aim from too far away and hope it will work. But still it's great for self portraits and shots during the night when you don't want to blur the picture.
Great value!
Digital camera Review: Cheaper than Canon, works just as well Summary: 5 Stars
I "inherited" an XTI, and got this remote for the camera. I read somewhere that the first time you use it, you have to press both buttons down for some time. Not for me; it worked right out of the box. Don't know about the range, because I use remotes only when I'm right next to the camera. Great price!
