Digital camera reviews of Opteka RC-4 Wireless Remote Control for Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, XTi, XSi, T1i, T2i, T3i, 60D, 7D & 5D Mark II Digital SLR Cameras

Digital camera Review: Does not work within the first 5 minutes
Summary: 1 Stars

After reading many of the positive reviews about this remote, I decided to purchase it from Amazon. Well, I just processed a return for refund with Amazon because this remote does not work. I have a Canon t1i, and when I first tried it, it worked for five minutes and went dead for no particular reason. I attempted to let it rest and tried again. It worked with the first click, and then went dead again.

I think they sent me a defective product.

Digital camera Review: Does the job with my T2i
Summary: 5 Stars

For as little as this cost it does a great job. Only the top two buttons work on the t2i but that all I need. One button releases the shutter immediately and the other gives a two second delay, perfect for keeping the remote out of frame.

Digital camera Review: Does what it should
Summary: 5 Stars

For the price, you can't go wrong. It takes pictures instantly or with a 2 second delay, perfect for hiding the remote. For the price, everybody should have one of these in their bags. Just remember to change the shooting mode to remote control.

Digital camera Review: Does what it's designed to do.
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got the control and it works fine. A number of posts comment that you need to be in front of the camera in order to trigger it which is true. That's Canon not Opteka. )) But for my needs that very fact is why I got it. I can pre focus the shot, then move into position for a test pose and use this to fire the camera. It beats using the timer and rushing to position myself. I can make certain adjustments that I want the model to make and see how my lighting works w/o having to go back and reset the timer. For that alone, it can't be beat.

Digital camera Review: Does what it's supposed to
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought this for a Canon 60D and it works fine right out of the box. Small and simple. Line of sight use only, works about 15-20 feet away w/out problems. Better price than Canon remote.
