This item was not at all what I expected! The photo presented surely offers a much more professional looking item. I do not care for the light it puts out either! When it arrived, I was shocked to see what I had just opened when I took it out of the package! For this price, you really can't go wrong. I use this with a Canon 430 EX II and it works great. Perfect for spreading out the flash a little when you're at a party or the like. Combined with bouncing off a wall or ceiling, and you can get some really nice lighting for on-camera flash.
However, I did find a couple of cons:
Setup time. It can take around a minute to thread the velcro strap through the four sides and attach it to the flash. The upside is that when dismantled it can lie very flat. I have it in my camera bag at all times, and often forget it's there due to its compact size.
Appearance. It makes an already large flash unit look even more conspicuous. Of course, this is mostly unavoidable - the bigger the better when it comes to a soft box.

I've owned this for about 10 months and have used it on maybe 6 or 7 occasions and the attachment system is falling apart so badly that it is tricky to keep it on my flash unit. Look elsewhere for a better quality unit. That said, it does achieve its purpose of diffusing the light and reducing harsh shadows.Digital camera Review: Cumbersome, but effective

This diffuser works fine and the price is good. However, it's pretty cumbersome to assemble on the electronic flash. I find the Sten-Fen Omni-bounce much more practical and just as effective for my purposes.
