We are very satisfied with this globe so far but afraid to download new software because a lot of reviews say that they have problems with the globe after downloading.Children are motivated to use it because it offers a lot of fun activities.

Oregon Scientific PR18-06WA SmartGlobe has everything, including a pullout map of the United States. It gives you history, locations, capitals, and everything you would want to know about any place in the world. If you are planning to purchase a high tech globe, this is definitely the one to get. The SmartGlobe is the only learning globe on the market that can be updated using a USB cable from the SmartPen to your Internet connected PC running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Information can be customized for three age groups, 5-8 years old, 9-14 years old and 15+ years old. Plus, it's great for multi-player games accommodating up to four players. Learning is easy and fun with 30 English and 6 Spanish activities and quiz games about countries, capitals, major cities, populations, languages, currencies, time, distances, history, science, current events and national anthems.
