Digital camera reviews of Oregon Scientific SE102 LS Heart Rate Monitor

Digital camera Review: Early review is positive
Summary: 4 Stars

After 2 bike rides, this unit performs as advertised. Pretty easy to set up, chest strap is comfortable (you know it's there, but it not a bother). Watch strap is long enough to fit over heavy jersey, dial is very readable.
It provides only basic info - but hey, look at the price.
Can't comment on durability - too early to tell.

Digital camera Review: Broke down in 34 days
Summary: 1 Stars

At first it looked great, everything seemed ok. But then I began to get readings higher than normal. And yesterday (may 11), just 34 days after I bought it, while I was in a long run it went crazy, everything turn on in the display.
Now I'm trying to make my guarantee work.

Digital camera Review: Almost Good
Summary: 4 Stars

I actually bought two of these, one for me and one for my husband. His seems to work perfectly. I had to send mine back as there was something wrong with the receiver. So, we are satisfied with one, and will probably be satisfied with the new one I expect to receive.

Digital camera Review: Love it
Summary: 5 Stars

I think that this is a great heart rate monitor. I like that it beeps and vibrates. I do most of my workouts in the gym. I also usually have headphones on, so a beeping heart monitor isn't too useful while I'm doing cardio, but the vibration option still allows the monitor to notify me when I'm above or below my target heart rate.

The strap is comfortable. It goes right under my sports bra which is a plus. I also like that it counts my calories burned.

Digital camera Review: Great price for a 2-in-1.
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall I'm very happy with the product. The HRM does a good job and is easy to use. The watch is lacking a 'seconds' field, which I like to use for manually checking my resting heart rate when I wake in the morning. It's a bit annoying to have to switch modes and start the chrono for this. The Tap On Lense feature is neat, but more of a novelty. I disabled it.

Bottom line - it does everything it claims to quite well. And for a little more than the price of a Timex Iron Man, you get the HRM built-in. Great deal.
