Digital camera reviews of Original HP 02 Ink Cartridges Combo-Pack (5 Color Cartridges) in Retail Packaging

Digital camera Review: Bait and Switch...its a scam
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought the five pack set. It came on time and was delivered in proper conditions. Upon installing the new cartridges I discovered that 2 out of the 4 have 50% ink level. I am very upset and think this is bait and switch. I wont be buying from this vendor again.

If you are planning on buying ink cartridge, I recommend spending the extra few bucks and going to HP.

Digital camera Review: Better pricing than anywhere else that I've found
Summary: 5 Stars

These are genuine HP ink cartridges just like they sell in major retailers but at a better price. As others have noted, mine came in 5 individual packages but it is the same as what's in the standard combo pack (not the photo combo pack with paper, which has smaller ink amounts). It is "fresh" ink- the earliest expiration date on mine was 11 months, with others being 5 months longer. I don't like buying the larger XL cartridges because I don't use the printer enough to justify the risk of the cartridge expiring- I got mad once when I had to replace my black cartridge prematurely when it still had ink left, because the it had "expired" past the preset date. This is where I'm buying ink from now on!
P.S. My HP 3210xi All-in-one has been the best printer I've ever had- it's been super reliable and scans great images.

Digital camera Review: Beware of Expiration Dates
Summary: 2 Stars

You can't win for losing. If you didn't know, HP 02 color cartridges have expiration dates. The set that came with the printer apparently had a two year shelf life. I seldom use color inks because I do most of my printing in black, on the LaserJet printer. As the yellow and cyan ran low on the Photosmart printer, I purchased the combo pack by mail. It arrived with the shelf life of one year. The printer can read the date. If you don't use the ink by the expiration date, the printer won't use the expired ink. So, although I didn't use most of the ink that came with the printer, I was forced to install the replacement cartridges, which now have ten months left to go. Let's face it, ink does dry up if you don't use it. That being said, HP boasts that their products are better than generic brands because HP uses anti-coagulants in their product. However, if you haven't used the ink by the expiration date, the anti-coagulant offers you little leverage. Lesson learned: Buy the cartridges at the store, where you can easily check the expiration date and check with HP to find out what is the maximum shelf life for those cartridges.
The following information does not pertain to color cartridges, but it may be useful to someone who is thinking of buying generic instead of an actual HP cartridge. I bought alleged premium quality black toner generic cartridges for the LaserJet printer. I got a total of three cartridges for one-third the price of one HP cartridge. I figured that if only one worked, I would still be ahead of the game. When I checked the clones against an original HP, I discovered that the HP cartridge comes with very thin spring clips. The clips are there for a reason. They hold the rollers in place, helping the cartridge to align properly with the printer's own rollers. The generic cartridges had either missing or broken clips. I decided to use the least defective of the three new generic cartridges because I hate mailing stuff back. In the meantime, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the cartridge won't damage the printer. At times, it squeaks as it turns.

Digital camera Review: Brand Name Quality cheaper ink
Summary: 5 Stars

There is not much to say besides that it is the brand name ink for the my printer and produces quality just as if i bought my printer. I have the Hp c7280 and have subscribed for delivery for the inks every 6 months through amazon . In addition i have free shipping and it comes right when i need it .On top of that i get it at a relativly good price and it gets delivered to my door within three days even with snail mail (free shipping)

Digital camera Review: Check HP Cartridge Levels
Summary: 3 Stars

I have used these cartridges without problems however, run a test report when you install new cartridges. The Cyan cartridge was only 86% full. I complained to HP and they say they are filled robotically. They didn't offer to make it right however. It would be interesting to know how often this happens. Cyan usually runs out first for me. Do you think this could be a way to get you to buy more ink cartridges?
