Digital camera reviews of PNY P-FD1GBATT2-FS 1GB Attache USB 2.0 Flash DriveDigital camera Review: excellent buy Summary: 5 StarsI needed exactly this: 1GB for my pen drive. All I found in the normal stores was more expensive because it had bigger GBs, which sometimes you dont need.
Digital camera Review: Inexpensive, does the job Summary: 4 StarsI bought this for my 15 year old son as a Christmas stocking stuffer. It was inexpensive and it does what he needs: transport of limited size items -- songs, pictures documents, etc. to his friends or school. It works fine with both Mac and PC computers -- and most gadgets with USB ports (including PS3). The USB 2.0 connection speed is fast.
His only complaint was that it was not GREEN even though the picture in listing is green. The one he received is purple, and green is his favorite color.
Unless color of the plastic is critical to you, I recommend this.
Digital camera Review: Wash and Works!!! Summary: 5 StarsI have had this for about a year, it has never failed me. I haveashed and dryed it once and my two year old seems to think it needs to e washed on a regular basis. I let it dry out and it works great nd no lost data, although some of thpictures have water spots!! :)
Digital camera Review: Great Little Flash Drive! Summary: 5 StarsThis is one great little Flash Drive! It is sturdy, easy to use, and I can't recommend it enough!
Digital camera Review: Decent flash drive but with bad case design Summary: 3 StarsThe PNY 1GB is probably worth the current discounted price. I've previously bought 512MB and 1GB PNY flash drives.
Probably you'll find this drive to be durable, as fast as most, and nice looking.
Unfortunately, for PNY, they skimped on design of the case and its cap. It won't take long for the case to begin sliding off the electonics housing. Not a really big deal since nothing is exposed, but it's an unecessary inconvenience which can be remedied by placing some adhesive on the electronic component and sliding it back onto the sleeve. The cap, however, is another story. It's loose fitting and does not snap on; you know, that satisfying yet subtle "click" that tells you it's secure. Not a big deal if you don't plan to put this in your pocket or purse, but PNY could have avoided this.
For my money, I'd buy a Kingston 1GB Data Traveler II. It's fast, well priced, attractive also, and has none of the case design issues mentioned.
