Digital camera Review: "Cannot read card"

The PNY 1 GB SD card, which I purchased lasted approximately 6 minutes. Then, I received an error message "cannot read card". Formatting the card by the digital camera changed the error message to "this card cannot be used". The same message was generated by another camera - both of them worked perfectly with Kingston SD cards.

The PNY PSD1GRF3 1 GB Secure Digital Card is designed to allow you to easily upload, download, store and capture images, music and data in your digital camera, audio player, PDA or other handheld device. This one-Gigabyte, non-volatile, durable card can perform over a wide temperature range (from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius), and is extremely shock resistant (up to 1,000 G max) . The PSD1GRF3 is 100-percent compatible with all devices designed to use Secure Digital cards as standard, or extended, data storage, and is designed to comply with current, and future, SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) portable device requirements. This 1-GB card contains a write-protect slide-switch that provides protection against accidental overwriting or deletion of critical stored data. Well suited to PDAs, MP3s, digital cameras and other devices, this unit measures 24 x 2.1 x 32 millimeters (W x D x H) in dimension.Memory Cards
