Digital camera Review: Great speakers for the price!

I just received my speakers in the mail. I am pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. After all of the negative reviews I was a little leary to purchase these, but I figured for the cost I should just try it out. I have used it so far for about 5 hours in a row and the batteries dont seem low at all. It does come with a USB cord that you can power through a computer. It also has a connection for a 6V so if you wanted to purchase a charger you could. The only thing is, my ipod has to sit upside down because my earphone connection is on the bottom of my ipod, but it actually works out well as I pick up the ipod to change the song anyway. Perfect for what I need and perfect for the cost! Digital camera Review: 5 bucks! Anything is worth trying for 5 bucks!

The sound becomes slightly garbled at the higher volumes particularly with Electronica and Metal the low decibel's all mesh into one. NIN, Zero 7 , and certain Dream Theater songs were hard to listen to because the whole unit would just vibrate when trying to reproduce the lows. Still not bad for 1.5" speakers.
This is exactly what I was looking for! I needed a small ipod speaker system for my VERY crowded work area. This fit the bill perfectly. The sound is decent especially at low volumes. Being a work environment I just needed to hear it and jamming out was not a requirement. That said these do get pretty loud.
I do not place my ipod in the holder. I leave it on the table so I can plug in my CTA Digital IP-TBC Rapid Travel Charger ($8.00 on amazon) into it so my pod has constant juice.
I have had no problems with the batteries in this unit as mentioned in other reviews.
Hey, It was just under 5 bucks. Is this worth 5 bucks? HECK YA! It beats listening to commercial's all day

I bought these speakers because I'd been looking for a portable pair to hook up to my iPod when I'm out with friends.I'm in college and we like to throw potlucks and other small,often impromptu gatherings where music is desired.I was attracted to this pair by the low price,the compatibility with any device with a normal input plug,and the foldable speakers and small size,so I can carry it in my backpack and have it anywhere and pull them out when the idea strikes me to.That last part is very true;I can carry these wherever I carry my iPod(they fit in my backpack,but are a little bulky for a smaller purse;a medium or bigger sized purse should carry them fine.)They run on AAA batteries and have a power light that lets me know when it's on so I don't let them run down by accident.The speakers have gotten to be very popular with my friends...and that helps me,too!;-)
The two issues I have with them are that they tend not to stand up too well on their own--they can,but you hve to play around with the positioning a little to figure it out;once you do,you have to make sure not to knock them over,but if you leave them alone,they stay up fine.The bigger issue for me is the sound quality.The speakers aren't very loud,and if I crank up the volume on either the iPod or the speakers themselves to try to compensate,the quality suffers noticably.Dance parties on the roof or outdoors are a problem this way.If you're willing to put up with that,buy the speakers;they're a good price and are versatile.If the sound volume and quality are important to you,find another product.

It works very well and seems sturdy. Nice, robust sound for such a small device. What I don't get is how to plug in the ipod in such a way that it sits snug and nice into the platform. The plug seems to get in the way and the only way I can put in my nano is upside down. Not a big deal, but maybe someone can tell me if I'm missing some obvious trick.
