Digital camera reviews of PRO-POWER - Portable speakersDigital camera Review: Not thrilled Summary: 1 StarsI got this product to use at work instead of headphones with my ipod. It worked really well for the first couple of weeks and now it sounds like I blew the speakers though I never turned it up loud enough to do that. Not to happy and I wasted $ on this one instead of getting a more expensive, yet nicer one!
Digital camera Review: A good buy Summary: 4 StarsI highly recommend this product for anyone who wand a good sounding mp3 dock for about seven bucks. It is also great for a laptop when you need a bit more sound. It plugs into an ear phone jack so it is compatible with just about anything. The only con is that my iPod nano sits a bit awkwardly in the holder, due to how the cord is positioned.
Digital camera Review: cost to quality is amazing Summary: 5 StarsAs always, one has to have a realistic expectation to go with the price of anything one purchases. Given that, these little speakers, at well under $10 are astounding.
Yes, they're not of the highest quality, but they've worked for my kids well, the sound/volume is excellent for their needs (or even higher). Any plastic product of this nature is relatively fragile, and it surprises me that so many feel the necessity of commenting on this.
I purchased three sets, one for each kid and one spare. The batteries fit and stay put, the covers all work, the "player tray" works both in use and folded. The sound is best when the volume on the player (iPod, cd, etc) is set to maximum and the playback is controlled by the speakers.
I have absolutely no hesitation in giving these five stars. If my kids get six months use from them, we're are megadollars ahead of the game.
Digital camera Review: The ONLY thing you need to know. Summary: 1 StarsGo to www.pacrimtechnologies.com and buy their version. It costs about $20 total (shipping included) and comes with an AC power cord. It's quality is far better than the cheap knock offs sold here. It actually sounds better, and feels like it costs two to three times what pacific rim is currently charging ($9.99). This is the only speaker set you need to buy. period.
Unfortunately, I first bought these cheap little knock offs. I mean hey, they were only $6 with shipping. They actually sound pretty good. They are very inexpensive, BUT they are also very poorly made. The right speaker didn't work out of the box. The seller, Clear AV, was nice enough to send out a free replacement. The replacement arrived in two days, but that one was completely non-functioning out of the box. Good news is I was able to splice the right speaker from the replacement unit onto the first unit, and it works fine. However, see above.
Digital camera Review: Not even worth 2.88! Summary: 1 StarsThis is probably an instance of "you get what you pay for"--but this is a WORTHLESS set of speakers. the volume is SO LOW you can only hear it-- even on its highest volume--if you are sitting right beside it. It might be good for an office cubicle where you want very low volume so only you can hear it. that's about it. It is so quiet you have to lean into it to figure out what song is playing. a total waste of even 2.88 + shipping and an absolute disappointment. I can see why they had to reduce it from 49.99 to 2.88!
