You can do a lot of things with this handheld. Incredible wi-fi and Bluetooth connections, so you can connect with any electronic piece that has this features, even notebooks and cell phone. This item bundles the two essential items you need immediately with your new Palm: screen protectors (3) and a sturdy highly protective case. The well designed case is lightweight, sleek and slim, and is made specifically for the TX. This case is easy to slide into your pant/jacket pocket, it will hold two memory cards, provides high protection from spills (it completely encloses the Palm), and unlike many other hard cases, the lid swings a full 360 around to the backside so you can hold the palm as if it were not in case at all!! After 4 1/2 years of use, my Palm M125 was getting a bit long in the tooth and slightly unreliable. Since I largely used it for reading e-books (thanks, Mobipocket!) I wasn't that interested in replacing it with a Treo/Crackberry/iPhone.
Instead, the Palm T/X impressed me with it's very large and clear screen, PalmOS compatibility, memory and speed - as well as it's use of SD Cards.
Upgrading was as simple as installing the upgrade Hotsync software and sync'ing up the T/X. Everything I had on the M125 came straight across.
The screen is perfect for reading while indoors or at night, although a bit dark out in the sunlight - I haven't found a contrast control if there is one.
With it's speed and larger interface, I've also started using the TX as the PDA it was designed to be, actually using the calendar software and other functions. This ability to do other things, as well as it's ability to import books directly from my computer, were what decided me to go with it over the Kindle - since it appeared I'd have to pay Amazon for the privilege of reading books I'd already bought.
The included Wi-Fi has worked perfectly and has been very useful in testing against wireless routers, as well as the odd spot of e-mail checking away from home. Be advised that Wi-Fi will use up the battery power at an accelerated rate. I recommend getting at least one additional charger (home/work) and although I haven't gotten one myself, consider getting a car charger as well.
While the hard case was actually working out better than I had expected, I did buy a Rhinoskin case for my TX, and I'm very happy with it as well.

I purchased the Palm T/X to replace a Tungsten T5 that stopped working. The first T/X I received was defective and wouldn't load the software so I returned it for an exchange. I got it from Amazon because Palm doesn't even show their PDA's on their website anymore - only their phones. The replacement came in and I loaded the software with no issue. However I use the T5 in my medical practice with patients, running Epocrates software. The T5 had a blue keyboard with white letters for searching. The T/X has a very light gray keyboard with white letters that I was unable to read in my exam rooms. Contacted Palm and was told the keyboard color could not be changed. Had to return it to Amazon. Am now looking at unlocked cell phones to run my programming because I don't need another cell phone for this use.Digital camera Review: Awesome PDA

First time PDA owner. Researched and chose this from existing high reviews. Holds every piece of info you want it to, including documents, music(not my intended use), contacts, special dates(with reminders), memos or notes on the fly. Check email with WI-FI, Ok for simple web surfing. Extremely happy and would recommend the Palm TX to anyone.
