PalmConnect USB Kit doesn't work with macosx 10.3.9 with my old Palm IIIx. I tried all the advice from Palm, from other users who had posted at various places on the web and could not make it work. I sent it back and got a refund. Then I got a new Tungsten E2 which uses a USB connector.

PalmConnect USB Kit enables you to connect your Palm Computing platform handheld to a USB port on a Macintosh or PC. The kit includes a USB to serial port adapter and a CD-ROM with USB drivers for both the Macintosh and PC and Palm Desktop software for Macintosh.Here is a complete solution for connecting your Palm handheld to a Macintosh containing a USB port. The kit is compatible with the Palm III, Palm V, and Palm VII series handhelds. It includes a USB-to-serial-port adapter, USB software, and the Palm Desktop 2.1 organizer software (Macintosh) for managing your date book, addresses, memo pad, and to-do list. To connect to a Mac, you'll need to be running Mac OS 8.5.1 or later on a PowerPC processor and have a USB port. Note that for connectivity to a Macintosh with a serial port, you will need the PalmConnect Serial Kit.
