Digital camera reviews of Panasonic 5.8 GHZ Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - Dual Handset System (KX-TG4322B)

Digital camera Review: Excellent phone
Summary: 4 Stars

As another reviewer mentioned I tend to use my cell phone as my primary phone so my previous landline phone was a cheap analog device. Eventually it broke so I chose this model to replace it. It was a little bit pricier than some of the others I was considering, but since I now get free long distance from my cable company it seemed worth it.

I am very glad I chose it. While I don't really care for the asthetics of this phone, I find the features and quality of it to be perfect. The sound quality is crystal clear and MUCH better than my previous phone. With my old phone I found that depending on where I was in my condo it would sometimes interfere with the phones of people on the apartments on either side of me and pick up parts of their conversation. Thankfully I no longer have that issue with the new phone.

Beyond the clarity of the sound I especially appreciate the phone book feature. Once you have a cell phone you get very dependent on the phone book feature so I appreciate being able to store so many numbers and access them from both phones.

I agree, as another reviewer mentioned, a backlit keypad would be nice, but do appreciate the ability to turn the answering machine and ringer off for nighttime hours.

I also appreciate that the phone uses rechargeable AA batteries rather than a battery pack because I can swap in other recharegable batteries in a pinch if I forget to charge it. However, it has a great battery life overall and I love that when unused it can stay off the charger for 11-12 hours before it runs out of battery.

Overall this may not be the most attractive phone, but it has great sound quality, features, and battery life which makes it the perfect buy for me.

Digital camera Review: Excellent phone
Summary: 5 Stars

These are really nice phones, Here's a list some features that I really like on the phones...

Nice backilit LCD displays on each handset. Tells you if there any answering machine messages or if the line is busy. If there are messages the charging light on phone blinks too.

It has the standard any button answer when off the chargers ( 0-9 and # * )

You can set it to the Auto Talk option, Where you answer the phone by lifting it off the base and hang up by placing it back.

Both phones have hands free speakerphones built into the handsets and theres also one on the main base.

Both phones can share the line at the same time for 3 way conversations.

You can use the phones as "Walkie Talkies" either holding them as a regular handset or hands free thru the speakerphones.

Uses 2 widely available AAA NIMH batteries per phone. I had a spare set I precharged when the phones were shipped so when they arrived I put in the charged batteries and was ready to use them immediately.

Battery level and time indicator on each phone.

Clear reception, Excellent voice quality, good range. They have an automatic "Boost" feature which boosts reception when it gets weak due to wandering out of range or if there's interference.

Programing one phone automatically communicates and loads data to second phone. If you change the batteries on one phone just put it back on the charger and it will reset time, phone numbers... using the other phones info.

You can check the answering machine messages remotely or from any handset.

Some minor minuses...

Answering Machine has average sound quality. A little warbled but not too bad. The volume on the base is on the low side.

If it matters, There is no external headphone jack.

Digital camera Review: Excellent, so far
Summary: 5 Stars

This phone w/ an extra handset is super-easy to set up and use. I'm pretty well untutored, electronically speaking, but I read through the directions once and sailed through the set-up and initial programming. So far it's working well - I have to position it just right or the caller's voice is dim, but when I do it right the sound quality is great. The recording function is super - great tone, good volume, easy to push the right buttons. I've only had it set up about 2 weeks so can't speak to its longevity but so far I'm well pleased!

Digital camera Review: For the price, it serves it's purpose.
Summary: 4 Stars

The phone is very nice for the price. The sound is clear and the ringer is loud. The only negatives are the small screen and boring ring tones.

Digital camera Review: Garbage, Lasted 1.5 Years

I bought this phone at Circuit City a year and a half ago. In the past month, the phone was not holding the battery charge. So I went out and spent $15 on new rechargable batteries for it (that's what it required) and it didn't help at all. Phone charges all night and when off the base loses the charge in 1 hour. Circuit City went out of business, so I am out of luck there. Called Panasonic and they told me they would charge me $80 to repair it. The phone only cost me $25 or so!! They offered to do me a favor and give me %15 off if I purchased a new Panasonic phone. Yeah, right!
