It's best to use the same manufacturer's tape that made your camcorder. It gaurantees that the tape will have the proper surface for the tape heads. This tape has worked fine in my GS29 camcorder and the price was very reasonable.Digital camera Review: Best price per tape

I searched all over trying to find Mini-DV tapes at a reasonable (cheap) price. Basically for the same cost of three tapes at most places I was able to get five. They're the Panasonic brand name and all the tapes have worked fine.
