Digital camera Review: Best phone system I've owned
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall, this is a great phone, the best multi-phone system I've had.

Here are the features that I like most about this phone:

- Random access to voice mail messages: You can listen to any message you want without going through them one by one. They are listed by the Caller ID, so it is pretty easy to get to the message you want. You can also selectively delete voice mail messages too.
- Call Blocking: If you keep getting annoying calls from a certain number, you can save the number to the call-block list. When calls come in to any number on the block list, it rings once and then stops. The calls appear on the incoming call list with a blocked icon, so you can see when they call. It's very easy and intuitive to add a number to the block list.
- Single phone book: When you save numbers into the phone book, it's available on all the phones. I've had other systems before where the numbers are only saved on a single handset. This phone does this the right way. It gets saved to the base station and the entire phone book is available on every phone.

The only issues that make this phone not get 5 stars are:

- The Caller ID only displays on the phone until the answering machine picks up. While the caller is listening to your announcement or leaving a message, you cannot see the Caller ID (the phone tells you that the system is busy). Therefore if you didn't hear the talking Caller ID and get to the phone too late, you have to wait until the caller starts to leave a message (which you can hear at the base station) and then you have to recognize the voice. You cannot access the Caller ID until after the caller is done leaving a message. If you are in a different room than the base station and cannot hear the voice message as it is being recorded, you are left wondering who it is and can only pick up the call without knowing the Caller ID.
- There are a bit too many clicks to navigate around to the voice messages. However, this is totally offset by random access to any voice mail message.

Digital camera Review: Best phone we've ever had
Summary: 5 Stars

Big display, long battery life, great reception, intuitive controls, and clear reception. That about says it all. Not one ounce of buyers remorse.

Digital camera Review: CUSTOMERS COULD NOT HEAR ME
Summary: 3 Stars

I read up all reviews before purchasing this phone for my new flower shop I just opened. I liked everything about this phone except customers kept saying they could not hear me very good. After about a month of hearing this I had to return this item and purchase a different brand. Purchase at&t and so far so good. Really had enjoyed that choice mail it offered, my new one does not come with that.

Digital camera Review: Consistent Quality With Previous Panasonic Cordless Phones
Summary: 4 Stars

Have been satisfied with previous Panny cordless phones. Our new home doesn't have conveniently located phone jacks in every room, plus our ancient master bedroom phone died - so we researched the newer Dect phones and opted for another Panny - this model. Pretty similar basic operation to our 4-year-old non-Dect Panny cordless which somewhat simplified the learning curve.

We use the phone company voice messaging and really like the ability to turn off/reset the message light that did not quickly extinguish after retrieving and erasing messages via our older phone. Also like the bigger screen that is a little easier to read, and the audio caller ID is pretty decent and adds some convenience. Units have a reasonably solid feel, are comfortable to hold, and have easy to use hard & soft keys.

We anticipate the same good reliability as we've had from other Panasonics we've owned. Thumbs up.

Digital camera Review: Cool Features, but Missing Some
Summary: 3 Stars

This phone system has some great features including Choice Mail so you can listen to just the saved message that you want, not the 12 messages before. You can set a timer for individual handsets so they won't ring at certain hours. This is great for keeping in our baby's room. The screen is very easy to read and the buttons are larger than normal. It reads the incoming caller ID (or addressbook name if available) quite clearly. Call block allows you to block incoming calls from certain numbers, but the list of numbers is limited to 30. So, if you had hoped to block all of those political callers and other annoying people, you will run out of room quickly.

On the down side there is no speed dial. Every phone I've owned for the last 15 years allowed me to hit one button and dial a most-used number, but this is not an option. You MUST go through the address book or dial the number. The phone includes a few extra tones and tunes to customize for people in your address book. Sadly the quality is reminiscent of my original Nintendo and there are scant few to choose from (8 in total). The answering system only provides 18 minutes of messages. This was impressive in the 1980's, but that's a small mailbox today.

The phone just feels unfinished. It could have done much more, but obvious features were left out and quite a few available features are only available by entering a special programming mode instead of selecting them from a menu.

The phone uses standard rechargeable AAA batteries which is genius. This impressed me immediately. That great feeling went away when instead of charging the phone for 7 hours as necessary with the phone, I put them in a wall charger which charged them in 1 hour. They were fully charged as confirmed with a meter, but the phone has a new-phone timer on it which refuses to allow it to be used until it has sat in a base station for 7 hours.
