Digital camera reviews of Panasonic DECT 6.0 3-Handset Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System and ChoiceMail (KX-TG7433B) (Black)Digital camera Review: Cordless Phones Summary: 5 Stars
I had been looking at these phones for a while. I finally bought them for my parents. My Mom loves them. There are a lot of features so for elderly people might need some help. I really like the talking caller id,the call block, different ring tones and the fact that you only use 1 phone jack for 3 phones. So, I went out and bought a set for myself. I 'm extremely happy. Each phone can be programmed individually, so if you can program talking ID for all phone , just the base phone, or turn it off. You can program ring tones and people names so when the call you can instantly figure out who's calling. Range is good and sound quality are fine also.
Digital camera Review: Disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
I liked the appearance of this phone but was disappointed because of the following:
1. Lack of speed dialing for several urgent numbers.
2. Slow dialing
3. Somewhat slow and awkward procedure for using the contact list
Digital camera Review: Drops phonebook entries Summary: 1 Stars
Worthless piece of plastic garbage. Customer support even worse. Phone dropped all phonebook entries after about a month. Had to manually reload them all again. Two months later the same thing happened. Called customer service and was informed that this phone cannot do that, thank you for calling. I never new how dependent I was on using this feature until it went away. Scrounging up all the erased numbers was a total pain, enough so that I would never trust a Panasonic product again. Beware!
Digital camera Review: Excellent Phone Summary: 5 Stars
This was a replacement for an earlier version of a Panasonic phone. It is a very good unit, easy to set up and program -- and easy to use. The large display is great, and the multiple redial listing is a very handy feature. Another feature I really appreciate is the SHARED Phone Book. Enter the data on one handset and all handsets share that data. GREAT PRODUCT
Digital camera Review: Excellent phone system Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this phone system a few months ago. So far we are impressed with it.
Things I would improve:
1) Some parts of the instruction booklet included with the phone are confusing. The phone has many features, and whoever wrote the instruction booklet didn't make it easy to figure out how to use those features. For example, you can change the settings and features on the phone using the navigational joystick on the phone and phone menu, or you can use a shortcut number key combination, but the instruction booklet doesn't tell you how to do that in a way that is easy to understand.
2) Phone range could probably be better. I noticed a little bit of cutting in/out when I got far away from the base unit. Granted, the cutting in/out didn't start until the phone was separated from the base unit by 4 walls, multiple large rooms, and closed doors, but it was all on the same level of the house so I expected no issues.
The good:
1) Each handset has a headphone jack and a belt clip. This makes it extremely portable for when you're talking on the phone and need both hands. Also - each handset has a speakerphone, which has surprisingly good sound quality.
2) The display is extremely easy to read.
3) The joystick and menu navigation are simple to use and intuitive. In the "Things I would improve" section above, I mention that the users manual is confusing. While that is true, I found the phone so easy to use that I barely needed the instruction manual. Setting up the answering feature, the date/time, rings to answer, etc. was simple.
4) The voice message feature is great. When someone leaves a message, each handset displays a "New Message" alert and a little light on the top of phone blinks. Even though the messages are stored in the base unit (the unit to which you connect the physical phone line), you can access the messages from any one of the handsets. Everything is synchronized. Better yet, when you access the message feature from any handset, the individual messages are displayed in a list. Those that you have listened to have a check beside them, so it is easy to see the messages you have listened to and those you haven't. You can delete saved messages without having to listen to them: use any handset to select the message from the list and select "Delete". Although the base unit has a traditional answering machine setup, we've never used the base unit to listen to messages; we just pick up the nearest handset.
5) I know some user reviews said the sound isn't loud enough but I didn't find that to be the case at all. I've actually had to turn the volume down a few times.
There are many more features on the phone than what we use, especially if you subscribe to a voicemail service, but the things I mention above were the most important to us. All in all this is a solid phone system.
