Digital camera Review: Excellent phone system!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Even after reading the reviews on this page, I decided to give this phone system a try and I'm absolutely glad I did it. Not only does this phone look elegant but it is also lightweight, easy to handle and the big keys are a plus. Now regarding the comments about the volume, my mom, who is 64 years old and has hearing problems, uses it to talk to her friends all the time and has reported no problems with it, not sure under what circumstances the people complaining about the volume here are using it, but I can tell you my house is very active, to say the least, with an 11 year old boy and a dog, and no problems regarding volume as of today. So, to sum it up, I would say that I would definitely buy the Panasonic brand again. Great buck for the price!!!

Digital camera Review: Excellent price, simple set-up, very good quality
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this phone system to replace the Panasonic phone system we have had for more than 10 years. This system was rated highly elsewhere, and Amazon had the best price (and Prime shipping eligibility) at the time I was researching the phone.

The set-up for this phone system was straight-forward and simple. The interface is user-friendly and very easy to use.

The only thing I dislike about this phone system is that the shiny surfaces are prone to looking dirty from fingerprints.

Digital camera Review: Fantastic Fones
Summary: 5 Stars

Panasonic has created a high-quality, yet relatively inexpensive cordless phone system with the DECT 6.0. We needed to replace an older Radio Shack system that worked well for many years, but finally started to fail after many battery replacements and a lot of use. These phones worked perfectly out of the box, were easy to set up and program and have given us very reliable service for the past month. Since we use a voicemail system that comes as part of our Comcast VoIP system, we aren't using the built-in answering system on the phones, so I can't comment on its use.

One interesting feature is the use of rechargeable AA batteries. These batteries are very easy to swap out, and presumably the phone would also work with standard AA batteries in a pinch. I haven't tried that though.

Audio quality is excellent. The talking caller-ID works well, although we chuckle at some of the pronunciations, especially when the CID data is abbreviated. The display screen is quite bright, so much so that it can almost light up a room at night. That makes it easy to see who's calling even in darkened room. The keypad also lights up brightly, making it easy to punch in numbers.

All told, we've been very happy with these phones.

Digital camera Review: Features, yes - sound quality, no
Summary: 2 Stars

Yes, it has nice features. The big screen is great. We like the call blocking. The Choice Mail option is nice to have. And the interface is simple and easy to use.

However, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING A PHONE NEEDS TO DO IS SOUND LOUD ENOUGH and be CLEAR. What good is it to have lots of features when there is background static, the voices are fuzzy, and the volume is SO LOW that you can't hear anyone? I have really good hearing and I have to put it on speaker phone to hear anything. The volume control does not go up high enough.

I am not sure which is worse - the fuzzy, static sound or the insufficient volume.

Can someone please tell me how it is that CNET gave these lousy phones such good ratings? They weren't listening to my phones, that's for sure.

We have to return these, but we would really prefer to keep them. We'll try something else instead. Hopefully we can find something better.

Digital camera Review: First phone in 8 years
Summary: 4 Stars

Nothing special in this review. Did some research for a good handset family and found this one. Setup was simple. The sound quality is not too bad. It is not great, but good enough. My favorite part is that only one handset requires setup. After that, all handsets added to the set adopt those settings.
