Digital camera Review: Best Blu-Ray Player 4 the money!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been in the market for a blu-ray player for quite some time. i finally took the plunge and im glad i did! great picture and great sound! fast load times (alot faster than the load times on my Toshiba A-2 HDDVD player). Very easy to setup(it takes like to seconds to do it.) goes well with my Panny 42" plasma!!.

Digital camera Review: Best Blu-Ray out there!
Summary: 5 Stars

From the research I've done before purchaseing the Panasonic DMP-BD30K I noticed it seemed all the previous Blu-Ray players were problematic at best at simply being able to play Blu-Ray discs. Many players were unable to play some of the most popular titles. The Panasonic doesn't skip a beat, and plays the latest disks beautifully. It can even do a superb job of upscaling those older standard def DVDs (almost HD quality, but very slightly soft in focus). This unit plays all the latest technology (1080P, HDMI 1.3, 24 Frames per second, 120Mhz refresh rate, TrueHD audio and Dolby Digital HD-Master Audio--the last two through Digital Bitstream to a capable reciver), and if an issue arises concerning new technology, the unit can be upgraded like a computer with firmware updates that permanently modify the player. For the moment, this is the best Blu-Ray player out there--period. Amazon's delivery service was very "sudden" too. They are always the best!!!

Digital camera Review: Best Blu-Ray player on the market !!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I did alot of research before purchasing this player and absolutely Love it !!!! great picture on my Mitsy 1500 projector and great sound thru my 5.1 system. one feature that i love on Panasonic DVD players is the setting for darker blacks. my old Panasonic SD player had the same feature and the dialog enhancer which raises dialog in movies when other sounds in the movie would drown them out. it also loads faster than my Toshiba A1 HD player and upconverts SD DVDs very well. Some of my higher end SD discs look almost HD. I played Harry Potter Phoenix SD and litterally checked to see if was a Blu-Ray disc or not !!! if you are in the market for a Blu-Ray spend alittle more $ and buy this one .. you won't be disappointed !!!

Digital camera Review: Best Blu-ray player for the money
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a Sony BDP-S1 which was generally reliable but will not pass TrueHD or DTS-MA which is a must if you want the full effect of having HD. The BD30 has excellent picture quality for blu-ray and almost as good upconverting of SD DVD as my Toshiba HD-XA2. There are numerous picture controls for adjusting to your particular taste. No issues playing any discs as has been a problem with people who own Samsung players. If you have a new receiver with HDMI 1.3 and DTS, TrueHD capability, this player will bitstream all the audio codecs (the player does not decode them internally). After listening to discs with DTS-MA I don't know if Dolby 5.1 will cut it for me anymore. The sound difference is amazing. A must have unit. Although it doesn't have ethernet capabilities it can still be updated by computer download and writing to cd. It is a simple procedure (there have already been 2 firmware updates, the latest today). People with Mac computers can do the same.
