Digital camera Review: Blu ray players are still need developement Summary: 3 Stars
The picture is good, probably like any other Blu-Ray player, but they still aren't fast enough for me. When you turn it on, it is 30-45 seconds before it does anything. Sounds trivial, but when you bent over in front of the machine with a disc in your hand, it seems like forever. Or when trying eject on your way out the door to the video store. It is quite frustrating. Also menus are slow to respond and certain menus are only available when the disc is stopped. I hear all these things are in common for all Blu-Ray players so they should not be taken as a criticism of this particular model, rather the whole 1st and 2nd generation of Blu-Ray player. Maybe another year will help.
I played "Hancock" on my 60" plasma and while it looked good, it wasn't remarkably better than a standard DVD in my upcoverting Toshiba HD-DVD. Perhaps it is because my set is a 1080i model.
Maybe next year I'll upgrade to a 1080P set and try Blu-Ray again.
Digital camera Review: Blu-Ray Picture is Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
I was not planning on getting a blu-ray player, but this came free with the Panasonic TV we ordered on Amazon (at the time). How can you beat that!!
Needless to say, we will never go back to regular DVD! We watched Tropic Thunder the other night, the colors were so bright and the picture almost seemed 3-D at times.
Had it not been free, I might have considered a player with a few more options (or a PS3), but for a pretty basic player, works like a charm.

I think this blu-ray player is awesome. I read some reviews before purchasing which helped me a great deal. The only think I don't like about it is that you cannot pause it unless you turn off the screen saver option in set-up. If you don't, when you pause a dvd, it actually stops it and you cannot easily find your place again. I discovered if you turn the screen saver function off, you can pause a movie. I would recommend this product highly, though.
Digital camera Review: Bluray hooray!!! Summary: 5 Stars
What can I say? Finally got my first bluray dvd player. Everything is working great so far. Still need to buy an HDMI cable and test out the PQ of this baby. From what it says, this player plays everything, which works out really great. No complaints. Delivery was very fast. Still waiting for another month before my 50" baby will come to town. Come on Amazon!! Faster with the tv delivery!!!
