Digital camera Review: Amazon VOD freezes

Panasonic has major problems with these units(BD60) picture freezing. The firmware update doesn't help fix the problem. It mainly happens during Amazon's streaming HD VOD. DVD and Blue ray disks seem to be fine. I have comcasts fastest internet package, and I am using a 4 gig shdc class 4 card, in this unit. The Viera cast is very, very slow. Panasonic say's Amazons has big VOD problems. I think they both do!
I'm returning this unit and buying an Apple TV.

I am an early adopter of BluRay. My first player was a pansonic BD-30, which was a great Bluray V1.0 player. I upgraded to BD-60 after reading the reviews in [...]. The audio in BD-60 is outstanding, and excellent upgrade from BD-30. Response time is faster than BD-30. I played some movies from Amazon VOD, and quality was excellent. Make sure you have a good wired connection to the Internet. The only complain is the freezing issue reported by many users. Apparently the latest and greatest firmware fixes this issue. I am yet to upgrade the firware to the latest version. I have seen the freezing a few times. Movie freezes for 15 secs and will start again. It freezes only with some movies and may be only once in a movie. I recently got a PS3 on Black friday. I compared both PS3 and BD-60 side by side. The results: No question, BD-60 wins hands down in both audio and video quality. I use PS3 only for Netflix streaming. If Panasonic provided Netflix streaming it would be a great feature and a full package. Many bluray players support both Amazon VOD and netflix. But considering the audio/video quality of this player, I dont mind the absence of Netflix streaming.Digital camera Review: Average

I liked this player so much I got two. Although one came free when I purchased a Panaconic plasma tv. I can't believe what a difference 1080p picture makes. It so realistic looking. Unit functions as advertised. VIERA Link is cool for those of you with a Panasonic Plasma like me. This is an excellent player for the price.
