I purchased the Panasonic BD-605 (seems to be the same as the BD-60 with the addition of the HDMI cable) from Costco on 12/29/09. I immediately updated the firmware to 2.2 since I had read a lot about the freeze problem. We rent Blu-ray from Netflix and have played only 6 Blu-ray DVDs so far. When I played the latest DVD, "The Patriot", I got several picture pixilations and freezes before I had played the first hour of the movie. I checked for damage or smudges but detecting no damage and cleaning up a couple of smudges, I still get the picture breakup/freeze problems with this particular disc. I will update my experience as we get more Blu-ray discs from Netflix. The unit produces a beautiful, clear picture with excellent sound and I will stick with it in hopes that Panasonic can solve this problem soon.Digital camera Review: BD-Live

So much fun- set was easy, deciding whether to go wireless or wired took some thought. I decided wireless, My home is wireless using a Linksys WRT545G saving $$ using a WGA54G Gaming adapter as bridge instead of a normal bridge to connect, I highly recommend letting a Linksys Technician do a remote using you computer to set that up- and it works great with a few minutes the Firmware update was downloaded, I was on Viera Cast linked my Picasa web album and linked my Amazon account to the Viera cast by Registering my Blu-Ray registration code generated on Viera Cast- to get Amazon Video-On-Demand, was able to Get YouTube, set my local weather to default. My husband is a sci-fi fanatic and he was impressed with the picture and sound both blu-ray and
up converted movies we watched.

PRODUCT ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME (LESS THEN A WEEK). THE DVD'S I'VE WATCHED SO FAR HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO 1080p AND LOOKED GREAT. WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT 5 STARS MOST LIKELY IF I HAD SEEN A BLU RAY DISC ON IT, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY YET. NO MATTER WHAT I AM STILL VERY HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE AND RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.
