Digital camera reviews of Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6432M)Digital camera Review: Dark Gray Cordless Summary: 5 Stars
When I bought Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6432M) I needed a replacement AC adapter. Once received all is well and I love my NEW cordless phone!
Digital camera Review: Decent enough Summary: 4 Stars
There are only two problems. First is that there is a slight background noise on the phones (sort of like the ocean is a mile away.) Second, the voice caller ID pronounces names so strangely that it is difficult to understand who is calling. I am getting used to the odd pronunciations but had to change a few names in the memory so that they are spelled phonetically. It pronounced "Grace" as "grah-say!"
Digital camera Review: Definitely not a favorite Summary: 1 Stars
I read various reviews before purchasing this phone. I have the phone with 3 additional handsets. I never called Panasonic but the reception is awful. I have the same problem as others where people cannot hear me. It's frustrating. I have tried different handsets. I have tried staying near the base of the phone and nothing seems to work. I can hear the person on the other end talking, but they cannot hear me and have assumed that the call is disconnected. When this happens and you try to call back, you can't even get a dail tone. After reading various reviews, I thought this would be a great phone, but I was wrong. Though this phone does have some nice features that I like, this disconnect issue outweighs the nice features.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Panasonic phone Summary: 5 Stars
After 5 years of daily use, some buttons of my previous Panasonic stopped responding, so it was replaced by this one.
The sound quality is excellent, the display and fonts are bigger than in my previous model. The buttons are back-lit, which is essential at night. Unfortunately, the three upper buttons for opening phonebook, menu and redial are NOT backlit. BTW, the redial memory is quite short compared to my mobile phone, although it has at least (or only?) 10 numbers.
The voice caller ID is very useful. Another nice feature is the programmable silent mode. Unfortunately, I can't specify two silent mode ranges, e.g. 14-16 and 12-7. The answering machine is OK.
If you live outside US, you'll need to replace the power adapters. While most of the appliances today use universal power adapters (110/220V), Panasonic ships with 110V only. Same true for other Panasonic phones as well.
Overall, it's a good buy, inexpensive, good sound quality and feature rich.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Phone System Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased and received this cordless phone/answering system a week ago. So far, it has provided flawless operation. It was very easy to set up. Everything works as it should, with enough range on the handsets for our three story home with no noise or interference. The caller ID voice announcements are fun, although the name pronunciation on some callers is funny to hear (that feature can be turned off if it annoys you). We have not had any unexpected volume change problems as reported on some Panasonic cordless models. All in all, we are very pleased with this device.
