I'm very pleased with this product. It replaced a number of GE cordless phones. The reception is crystal clear and there is no interference with wi-fi. One essential point for me was an earphone plug but each unit has an excellent speakerphone. One surprise was that the batteries in these phones are standard rechargeable AAA batteries. This alone would have been reason enough to buy them.
All in all these are excellent phones and probably the best cordless phone I ever owned (and I've gone through plenty!).

These are great phones! I can go to the very edge of my back yard which is about 75 feet from the base and the clarity is just as good as in the house. The phones will display if someone is on another extension and if there is trouble with the phone line. You can program individual ring tones for numbers that are saved in the phone book and it can announce the name of the person that you have associated with the number. The normal ring tone will sound first, but after the second ring when the Caller ID recognizes the number the individual ring tone will start. The speaker phone and intercom features function well.
I have been able to leave the phones off of the charger for several days without needing to recharge but we don't talk a lot on the phones so that would affect the time between changes.
We don't use the answering machine feature so I can't rate that part of it. We are using our phones through a telephone service that connects to the USB port of our computer and utilizes the high-speed Internet connection. Using the phones through this type of circuit requires that we sometimes dial the numbers a little slower than normal (about 1/2 second per digit) but that is not a problem with the phone ... just inherent to the telephone circuit.
With previous 2.4 ghz phones we did get interference and strange malfunctions but these phones use a special frequency that works well in our house with no interference with other devices. Overall, we are very pleased with the phones especially since we bought them mainly for the range and lack of interference problems.

I bought this system to replace 2 other cordless systems in my house. Price was reasonable and Panasonic makes great phones with good reception and volume. I've had other cordless phone brands and I keep coming back to Panasonic. The options that sold me were the lighted keypads, speakerphone, and the ability to check and delete messages using the handsets. The bonus feature of Night Mode only adds to the pleasure of owning this phone system. I have set the handsets not to ring between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am. I am a very grumpy person when I am awakened by a telephone ringing, especially the 1:00 am wrong numbers. One more great feature is the shared phonebook. Input your phone numbers in one handset and they are accessible to all handsets so you don't have to program every handset. When talking to someone, the sound is crisp and clear with no static or echo. I would recommend this phone system to anyone who wants a good quality multi-phone system at a reasonable price.
4/16/08 Update - Another great feature. You don't have to subscribe to call block. The phone system allows you to block up to 20 numbers as long as you have caller ID. Everyday I get a call from Credit Card Services showing up on my caller ID. I just followed the instructions in the manual on how to block that call and the next time they call they should get a busy signal. Did I say that I love this phone system? Well....I love this phone system.
