For the Price and quality you can't go wrong. Quality speaker phone, and regular replacement batteries gives this phone a big advantage. The transmission at a much lower frequency gives an added layer of security. Chances of nearby neighbors hearing what you are saying is now a rare happening. I already own a 5.8 ghz 2 handset unit, and have been completely happy with it. No static, long lasting batteries. Main plusses include: blinking message indicators, fine sound quality with adjustable volume, speakerphone, small handsets, easily replaceable batteries, programmable voicemail button- with password integration if desired, any key answer and or auto answer on pick-up, and the wonderful muting of the ringer after bedtime.(who hasn't had that wrong number at 3am?) There are several models currently available, they should perform similarly. The keys are not illuminated, but I only paid $59. Buy it.Digital camera Review: Great Sound & Clarity But No 2.5mm Jack

Great sound quality, easily expandable, no searching for channel when purchasing another handset. I would have replaced my entire system with these units but discovered they don't have a headphone jack. The oldest and cheapest handset I can remember had a jack. Since it was Panasonic, I took it for granted. It is never mentioned anywhere. I should have done more research, shame on me.
