Digital camera reviews of Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S)

Digital camera Review: Cool phones!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had no idea that my last phone on the 2.4Mhz was interfering with my wireless connection on my laptops. Since we got this phone our internet connection stays alive and of course we have matching phones in all the core rooms in the house.

Clarity is also very good, simple to use and set up, and good basic features. Too bad it didn't have a speaker phone on the base unit. Even without it, the battery last a very long time. I was in a conference call for 8 hours on the speaker phone and I never had to switch phones.

New phones arrived promptly in good condition. Setup is not complicated. Price was low and quality good. would like larger screen and buttons but those cost 25% more.

System works fine at this time except one handset battery has "gone South" in less than 2 months.
Lack of "Backlite" key board is a definate minus feature. Did not consider this an issue when purchased. Also would like 2 additional hand sets but the cost is almost as much as the complete four phone system.

Digital camera Review: Cordless Phone
Summary: 3 Stars

Had an AT&T cordless phone set for 3 years and the batteries gave out on all 4 phones. To replace the batteries would have been almost as much as the new phone set. Decided on this Panasonic phone as I can use rechargable AAA batteries which makes things a lot easier. This is a big plus. The phone is light and okay to use when cradling on your shoulder. It is much easier to do this if the belt clip is attached to the phone as it gives you more to hold on to.

What I don't like is the lack of knowing how many phone messages that have been left and that the light goes off once you listen to the messages. That can cause problems if the messages are for someone else in the house and you forget to tell them. I find this to be a major drawback. What else is annoying is the ring tone choices. None are normal phone rings and the choices are really all rather obnoxious. Either they should give more choices or at least better choices.

The phone is not as user friendly or straight forward as my last phone, but hope that with time, I will find it more tolerable. It isn't difficult to use at all, but not as user friendly.

Digital camera Review: Cordless That Really Works
Summary: 5 Stars

After countless "out of range" errors, and replacing handset after handset with a comparably-priced 5.8 gHz GE model, we finally broke down and replaced the whole set with the KX-TG1034S. I couldn't be happier! The set works exactly as advertised, although I wish the 5-set package (KX-TG1035S) had been available. We bought a 5th handset separately at what, I'm sure, was a higher cost than the incremental cost of the KX-TG1035S over the KX-TG1034S.

Caller ID scrolling may not be quite as intuitive as other sets, but once you've done it, you don't forget. We also appreciate the separate phonebooks, since we have no interest in our daughter's favorite numbers - and vice versa. I miss the GE's handset naming feature, since handsets tend to wander around the house, and I don't know who to yell at when three of them end up in the kitchen.

The only complaint I have is not about the product itself. Our set shipped from Beach Camera. It shipped fast, and it was nicely packed, but it was sent UPS with signature required. I don't know about most Amazon customers, but there's no one home at my house during UPS's normal business hours. Advice to Beach Camera - let the customer choose to leave a signed door tag!
