Digital camera Review: A Top Notch phone

For years we had a regular land line phone and a separate answering machine. When the machine finally gave its last gap, I decided it was time to get a new phone with answering machine. I looked at various shops in my area but nothing quite met what we wanted, so I decided to check the net. I saw this phone among others. We wanted something fairly simple - don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I liked that the dial tone is reasonably large and easy to use -not tiny keys. It is small and easily sits on a bedside table - and most important - for my husband who has trouble hearing on the phone - the volume is adjustable to use with a hearing aid.
Once set up and programmed, it has proven to be just what I was looking for. The one feature that I feel is overdone is seeing a caller list on the hand receiver-you need to use the menu to view the caller list, then again to delete it - and again if you want to delete all. Not a real complaint - and perhaps typical of all digital phone

I've had this phone for about a month now. Though I have used phones that were better (also significantly more expensive), the sound quality is very good on both the phone and the answering machine. The feature set is very good and the use of standard batteries is a great plus. Reviewing caller ID numbers is more cumbersome than most phones, but not difficult, once you get used to it. I have experienced the problem noted in other reviews with the volume dropping during a call just one time. The one thing that I have found annoying is that the answering machine does not adequately detect a no-message hangup. I continually get "messages" of the phone company telling me, "If you'd like to make a call,..." Overall, a good phone for the price.Digital camera Review: A very good and not expensive product

Pretty happy with it. Haven't really had it long enough to use all the features. I did not find it difficult to figure out how to use as some other reviewers reported. I do not like that the computer voice is male (not sure why, perhaps his particular voice). The Spanish voice is female so I am using that. Good way to practice a wee bit of Espanol. The recordings could be more clear, but not ridiculously difficult to hear. Finally, I do not prefer any of the ring tones. OK - Yes, I like it for a lot of reasons. BUT. Having had many answering machines over the years, I would not choose this one again. Why? Well first, I want the voice/day stamp at the begining of the message, not at the end. Secondly, there is NO window to tell how many messages are 'in the queue' waiting to be listened to or deleted. Thirdly: When a message has been left, the red light blinks. Great. But when it is listened to, it goes away and there is no way to reactivate the blinking light, which in my mind should only be erased manually and purposefully. Why? Because this is what happens...a message comes in for me. The red light blinks. My husband comes home before me, listens to the message, the red light stops blinking. He then gets tied up with something (business, football on TV, friends stop by), Then I come home and he is so distracted he forgets to tell me about the message.Or he has to leave suddenly and forgets to leave me a note. I have done the same to him. It is a great phone for phone use. IT IS TERRIBLE AS AN ANSWERING MACHINE.
