Two big disappointments:
1. This phone has a limit on the digits you can input into your address book. I use telephone card to make international calls, and I want to store the phone card number together with the destination number (a long number with pause) into the address book. The limit is probably 22 digits, not enough for telephone card. This never had been a problem for my cellular phone.
2. The phone I got will not show caller ID, it will not store incoming calls either.

We have been using this cordless phone for about a month now and have had no problems with it. Display is clear and lights up, sound quality is fine, and the programming is straightforward. I downgraded my phone service to save some $, so this answering machine replaces the voicemail feature I eliminated (plus we needed a phone that shows caller ID anyway). Caller ID displays on ring #2, and the digital answering machine works well. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and its affordable price: for what I save on my phone service downgrade in one month, I have a new phone/answering machine.Digital camera Review: Excellent Cordless/Answering Machine

I tried before some cordless phone of frequencies: 900MHz, 1.8GHz, 2.something, 5.much, but neither of them works properly in my apartment.
I left the base on the kitchen and they did not work properly over two rooms far from it. Or it only drop the line, or with a huge noise.
This is my first Panasonic cordless phone, and I am pleasant that it works on all my rooms with clear and clean audio and I never hear any sign of noises.
For only $10 more I got one with excellent answer machine.
The menus in the phone are very complete but not easy to operate. I could go through it without the use of mannuals, but I am not sure if all the people will use on the same way.
The phone is light and allow hours of conversation without stress or fatigue.

After installation and one weeks use it appears to work well. Simple to follow installation instructions. Don't use caller id so I have no comment. All functions I have used work well.
