Digital camera reviews of Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Dect 6.0 Phone System (KXTG8232B)Digital camera Review: Awesome phone Summary: 5 Stars
Phone works perfectly. Simple with lots of features. Completely cordless 2nd phone! Only problem is it is bright when in dock and cannot (I don't think) turn off the screen.
Digital camera Review: Best DECT 6.0 phones out there Summary: 5 Stars
I have been nothing but happy with these phones. I got the Uniden 6.0 phones after doing much research but I had lots of problems from reception to a few features that were not desirable. These phone far surpass the Uniden phones in every way. The phones are crystal clear and the speaker phone works like a champ. Also you don't have problem of not being able to pick up another extension if the phone is in use-very annoying like on the Uniden. I use VOIP and that gets my voice mails so I did not use the answering machine part of the phone at all. I just turn answer off on the base and the phone it will indicate when I have a VM waiting on it's very easy to read color display. If you are in the market for DECT 6.0 phones I would look no further and pick these up you will not be sorry.
Digital camera Review: Best cordless phone I've ever owned!! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had several different wireless phones, including a 5.4Ghz Panasonic. I was happy with the quality of the Panasonic, but it only extended to 3 phones and I needed more. I went with the Dect 6.0 based on other reviews, my own experience with Panasonic, and the fact that I could extend it to 6 phones. I wasn't sure how clear the call quality would be, but I was so impressed when I installed it that I expended it to 6 phones within a week. I have had it for several weeks and it has worked flawlessly. I'e had zero interference from my wifi access point or any other phones. We live in a 3-story home and the reception is excellent throughout the house.
Digital camera Review: Best cordless yet!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have read all the reviews and the pros and cons, and the only gripe I have with this phone is that the lit up color screen is always on, when it's on the base. One phone is in my bedroom and I like to sleep in total darkness, but I solved the problem by slipping a cloth eyeglass case over the handset at night. Other than that I love this phone. I have not had some of the other problems that others were mentioning. The audio is good. People can hear me crystal clear and I can hear them. The speakerphone is almost as clear, maybe with very slight distortion, but it is just fine in light of what else this phone has to offer. Others can hear me just fine on speaker, it's just that from my end it is not perfect, but it is still good. This phone has some of the functionality of a cell phone with ringtones and wallpaper. I love all the ringtones, but they could have done alot better with the wallpaper. The color background choices for the screen are great. This phone is so light and thin, I can put it in my pocket. The answering machine doesn't have the clearest audio, but I don't use that feature anyway. The phone is so good looking and takes up very little space. The sound is just fine. Since no phone so far is perfect, to me this is the best one out there. It is all I wanted in a cordless. I love it and it works great! You can turn off the answering machine if you want to use the voicemail provided by your service provider. Whether the voicemail is through the answering machine or your service provider, instead of a flashing light, there is a message on the LED screen indicating that there is voicemail waiting. Maybe a flashing light is easier to spot from a distance but the message on the screen is still easy enough to see. I wish that there was an option to turn off the LED display at night. This to me is the worst thing about the phone. All in all, it's a GREAT phone!
POST EDII: Now that I've had the phone a few weeks and really know it, I still think it is the best cordless out there, but 2 other things that are not perfect are that I wish there was an easier way to turn the ringer on and off. You have to go through a whole process to turn it on and off, instead of a simple on and off switch. It is a pain in the --- to turn the ringer off. The other thing is that I wish the mic on the speaker phone was a little more sensitive. When I walk away a short distance, people can't hear me, whereas on some other phones I can walk pretty far way from the mic and people can still hear me clearly. This phone isn't perfect, but despite, it is the best one I've found.
Digital camera Review: Best option for DECT 6.0 Summary: 5 Stars
I previously purchased the Philips DECT 6.0 and had to get rid of it for numerous reasons. This is a much better solution. The Panasonic has a really well thought out interface for its various functions and does exactly what you might expect from a modern phone. It stores up to 50 numbers in its phone book and lets you know how many slots are left before you run out of space. You can easily copy the phonebook between the handsets. It sounds great. Its buttons are backlit so you don't have to turn on the lights to dial a number. The handsets are pretty, fit well on my ear and can use a headset. My only complaints are that the answering machine has no numerical indicator for the number of messages and you only get a skimpy 18 minutes of message time, so don't forget to remotely check the machine and erase messages when you go on vacation.
