Digital camera reviews of Panasonic KX-TG6021M 5.8 GHz Expandable Digital Cordless Phone

Digital camera Review: Great phone
Summary: 5 Stars

Light-weight, long battery charge, excellent sound. No static or interference. I really like the "feel" of the handset, not heavy, not light; well "balanced". Easy to program phone number/move around the phone's menu too. An excellent phone.

Digital camera Review: Great phone!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great value. Very clear with an excellent speaker phone built right into the cordless phone.

Digital camera Review: I LOVE this phone!
Summary: 5 Stars

In a world where most low-cost cordless phones are junk, this one certainly stands out from the crowd. The range is excellent. I've walked to all four corners of my property and had no noise nor reception issues, and the receiver is in my basement.
I'm using it with the Panasonic KX-TCA86 Comfort-fit headset with travel fold design, with fantastic results. Everyone can hear me and I can hear them clearly. It lacks a belt clip but this isn't really an issue since it's small enought to fit in a pocket most of the time when I'm using the headset, which is all the time.
The charging unit appears to be "smart". The phone stays warm until it displays "charging complete" and then immediately cools off. That means it won't overcharge the battery pack and shorten it's life.
The battery pack is another story. They used NiMH cells instead of the old-fashioned NiCad type. The 650mAh pack gives about 5 hours of talk as the manual states. The nice thing is that it's simply 3 standard AAA NiMH cells in a plastic cartridge, not a shrink-wrapped pack with a pigtail lead. It looks like one could easily open it up and replace the cells with much higher capacity ones and gain substantial talk time.
I've been through several junk cordless phones over the years and I couldn't be happier that I discovered this one. I dare say it's the best cordless phone I've ever used, much less owned.

Digital camera Review: I can hear
Summary: 5 Stars

I have bought several cordless phones and have been very disappointed with the ability to hear the other person. This panasonic model makes hearing and speaking a clear and simple process ---which is the true purpose of a phone. It is a simple design but has many extra features such as multi programmable numbers, choice of ring tones, etc. I am very pleased.

Digital camera Review: It's okay, although I would not buy it again.
Summary: 3 Stars

I'll just concentrate on the points that I don't like in this product. The rest is okay. I don't like:

1. The design, it's not convenient. And it's "edgy". The phone feels funny in one's hand as if one is holding a plastic bottle and not a phone. It does not "stick" well in my hand, easy to drop it accidentally. It's like a boat.

2. It just doesn't feel right, although it's okay. I will buy something else in the future. The design part is very important to me.

3. The light stays on in the bedroom all the time. I wish it was not.

4. I don't like the way the caller ID is displaying the info and what it's displaying.

All Panasonic phones seem to be similar in functionality. I'll try another brand next time.
