Digital camera reviews of Panasonic KX-TG6445T DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering System, Metallic Black, 5 Handsets

Digital camera Review: An Excellent Phone(s)
Summary: 4 Stars

I really like this product after a couple months use. Good sound quality - no dropped calls. Excellent range - goes through our brick walls with no problem. Having five handsets while using only 1 phone jack is a real advantage. The battery life is excellent. My only wishes for changes: you have to push a lot of buttons to get rid of the "Missed Call" message. While the volume level is adequate, I wish it could be stepped up a couple more notches. I'm starting to get a little hard of hearing in my old age. I have no regrets in purchasing this phone system at all.

Digital camera Review: Astonishing lack of features
Summary: 2 Stars

Really the only good thing I can say about these phones is that they do make calls. I replaced a Uniden system that had died after several years and I am ditching this system after two weeks with it and going back to Uniden as soon as I finish this review. It's quite amazing how behind Uniden these are in features:

- Can't name phones. If one is off its handset and you wonder what room it belongs in, keep wondering unless you happen to remember that handset #4 belongs in the basement.
- No time/date stamp on the voice messages! This stunned me. I didn't know that any answering machine built in the last 20 years lacked this feature.
- Cumbersome menu...must do an awful lot of scrolling and selecting to get to a particular function.
- No message counter, just a small flashing light. I can't tell if I have messages unless I'm on top of the phone. With the old Uniden the entire face lights up when there are new messages and can be seen from across the room.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone...

Digital camera Review: Awesome phones
Summary: 5 Stars

These phones are clear sounding and have a quality feel to them. It has all the features one would ever want like lighted buttons, voice mail indicator, etc. The talking caller ID is great!

Digital camera Review: BAD NEWS PHONE BLUES
Summary: 1 Stars

Hello Friends who research before pulling the buy trigger as I do and did in this case. I bought these Panasonic phones 10/29/10 and have had them now for over 5 months. First the bad: The phones died today, with the words "Check Tel Line" displayed in the LED window. When this happens you can't get a dial tone, making the phones useless in all respects. I called Panasonic customer service and they ran me through 4 tests of which none solved the problem and requiring the phones to be sent to their warranty exchange center. Another couple of weakness in the phones are the short battery life and insufficient volume on the speakerphone option. It's good but not great, louder would be better.

The phones are being sent to McAllen Exchange Center which is required by Panasonic. Apparently these folks are Panasonic's exchange headquarters for phones and other products that have issues. I'm relatively certain I will receive refurbished phones in return and not my originals. I'm expecting the turn around time to be a minimum of 3 weeks. Meanwhile and to my huge dislike of this experience, I will have to go out and purchase a couple of corded phones while I wait to get these back from Mc Allen Exchange Center.

The Good: The speakerphone capability is great. Other than it needing to be a bit louder, it's the best speakerphone setup I've ever had. I use it on every call and it's great not having to hold a phone up to your ear, leaving both hands free. I pretty much loved these phones until they flat died. They replaced a pair of Sony cordless phones that I had for 22 years that were bullet proof. I guess there is a lot of truth to the cliche, "They don't make em like they use to".

Unfortunately, even if you read all of the reviews, most products have weaknesses. Before I bought these phones I read where the volume was an issue and the battery life wasn't the best in the business. I overlooked these issues because most of the reviews were positive. Unfortunately again, when the phones flat died it buged the crap out of me enough, that I'm writing this much less than stellar review of my experience. If it dies, it's an automatic 1 star only because I can't give it ZERO stars.

Digital camera Review: BEST CORDLESS WE'VE EVER HAD
Summary: 5 Stars

TOOK ALITTLE LONGER TO GET THE PHONE THAN ANTICIPATED, BUT ONCE WE HAD IT AND THE UNITS WERE CHARGED (7 HOURS), MY WIFE HAD IT UP AND RUNNING. THE SOUND QUALITY IS TERRIFIC AND THE COMPUTERIZED VOICE ALERT IS A HOOT....MY FAVORITES ARE MARYLAND CALLS, WHICH ARE ANNOUNCED AS IF A PHYSICIAN IS CALLING ("MD"). SO FAR, SO GOOD....NOTHING AT ALL TO GRIPE ABOUT. THIS REPLACED A RADIO SHACK SET WHICH CONSTANTLY REQUIRED EXPENSIVE BATTERY REPLACEMENT.
