Digital camera reviews of Panasonic KX-TG9344T Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with Answering System, Metallic Black, 4 HandsetsDigital camera Review: Best phones I've ever owned Summary: 5 Stars
I am a Panasonic phone lover and this set hasn't let me down. The DECT system works flawlessly. I can't believe how good the sound quality is. I purchased another system to get two more handsets for a total of 6, the system's maximum. That leaves me with a spare base unit and two spare handsets. I ready for "the call".
Digital camera Review: Best phones we've ever had Summary: 5 Stars
After many years of tolerating cheap, misbehaving cordless phones, we've finally found a decent phone system. We've been using these phones for two months now. Not one dropped call, absolutely no interference with wireless internet connection, no dead batteries.
Best features: Loud and clear receiver audio, no static, easy to use (even for "non-tech" folks), display is easy to see, buttons light a pleasant orange shade. The Speakerphone is a plus - didn't think we'd use this but since the phone is so small and tricky to rest on one's shoulder, it's extremely handy. The talking CallerID is unique, just let it ring a couple of times to hear it. The custom ring tones are cute and convenient (although I wish Panasonic would give us the ability to download our own). Still, I know when a friend calls without having to see a phone. Phone can be answered by simply pushing a button; one doesn't have to fumble to find the Talk button. The Night Mode is great - think "Do Not Disturb". Intercom is wonderful, too.
Only suggestions: A little louder ring tone (especially for hearing-impaired); password-protect the phone book which can easily be deleted if one is carelessly using the wrong arrow/wrong side, thinking it's the CallerID being cleared out - this will wipe out all ring tones and names; some sort of built-in memory backup for the base regarding settings, greeting, msgs, etc... in case of power outage.
After spending more than normal for a phone system, we are extremely pleased. Can't believe we waited this long. Would buy again without hesitation.
Digital camera Review: Beware of Panasonic Cordless Phones Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased 2 Panasonic cordless phone systems (2 bases, and 5 phones in total). The 3-phone system was dead in a couple months and the 2-phone system just died (after 2 years). Whatever you do stay away from Panasonic phones!
Digital camera Review: Clear Connections; Handy Units Summary: 4 Stars
The phones work very well - very clear and crisp sounding. Answering machine is simple to operate. So why the 4 instead of 5 stars?
Our intent was to wall mount the base/answering machine in the Kitchen but Panasonic's design as well as my inattention to detail, ignored that the orientation of the base unit was not best for a wall mount. Panasonic sells a bracket for it, but be prepared to mount it about a foot below where one would typically wall mount a phone. Ours is now sitting on the counter and absent some wall surgery to move the receptacle down, that is where it will stay. Panansonic should have shown a photo of a wall mount and I would have avoided a little surprise.
If you can or plan to keep the base on a flat horizontal surface, the phone gets my full endorsement.
Digital camera Review: Clear and strong signal Summary: 4 Stars
Just bought this DECT 6.0 system as my 4th generation of home cordless phones, after 900MHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz systems of various manufacture. Signal is clear and strong through apartment walls and I like that there's guaranteed no interference with WiFi of any generation. Display is clear. Settings are not always intuitive but manual is accurate and clear. Digital answering machine does not record with extremely high audio fidelity, but it's perfectly usable. Have had good luck with Panasonic reliability in the past and expect same with this.
