Digital camera Review: Another great phone from Panasonic

I had anearlier version of this phone for several years. It always performed well right up to the end when the battery died.
I was pleased to see that Panasonic was selling this latest version... and I'm even more pleased with it up and running. It comes with an extension phone which I keep in the bedroom.
Highly recommended!

You'll certainly have to dispose of them anyhow. Wow, I thought Panasonic made the best handsets. Sorely I was mistaken. They lose connectivity to the base, for no reason. You have to A. Wait it out. or B. unplug/replug the base. You can be in the middle of a call and the phone will just shut off. No indication the battery is low or on it's way out. Just OFF. Indicator will show full, you pickup the phone to answer it and the phone dies... from a dead battery??? I bought replacement phones.. yes the entire phone for 10$ from panasonic canada online. Instead of replacing the battery it was cheaper to get new handsets. Very very annoyed. The speakerphone is also shoddy, not to mention the overall call quality of the units. I doubt I would purchase panasonic handsets again after this.Digital camera Review: Downgrading my previous review

In general, this is a pretty wonderful phone - it is good looking, nice smooth case, great graphics, easy phone book, but it fails in a crucial way:
The range for the additional handset is horrible.
Just two rooms away and it goes from good, to cutting out, to cutting off. This is about 50% of the time, making it very unreliable for my office. My only other negative comment is that it is so flat and slim that it is impossible to hold it in the crook of your shoulder unless you are a contortionist.
Almost perfect, but if you want additional handsets, this is not the phone for you.
