This cordless phone is loaded with features. I like the ability to use headphones or to turn on the speaker built into each unit. The directory provides a feature to identify Groups; thereby, making it easy to get to the desired person when you have up to 50 entries in the directory. The feature to transfer the directory to other handsets is appreciated.
The only feature that I miss is an audible beep to alert one that a message is waiting. The unit does flash, but it is easy to overlook.

I bought this set and the additional single phone.
It was easy to set up and the menu's easy to use.
The reception is wonderful, and it's all around computer equiptment and the microwave doesn't bother it at all.
I'm very happy with it, I'm sure you will be too.
Digital camera Review: Great phones, but FYI : the KX-TG820B is NOT COMPATIBLE with KX-TG1032/33/34S series

I have the KX-TG1034B series phones (very similar to the KX-TG820 series except without color screen). I love the phones. Great reception. Nice design, except a few minor irritations (things could be a little slicker), but overall awesome phones.
I wanted to let shoppers know that this KX-TG820B extra handset is only compatible with the KX-TG8231/KX-TG8232B phones. It is NOT COMPATIBLE with the KX-TG1032/33/34S and 32/33/34B series phones, as the description on this site (and other internet sites) states. I found out the hard way and then talked to Panasonic to confirm. Check out their website.
Wish I could opt out of the rating and just state my message, since I don't own this series. I'm giving it 5 stars, based on the series that I own, which is the very similar Dect series that came out previous to this model.

I LOVE this phone! I've had all the other manufacturers phones, trying to find one that would work with my wifi system without interference. This phone is very clear, no static or dead areas. I've asked people I've called how is the quality of the sound from my end and they have answered that it sounds like I'm on a corded phone, even when I'm using the speaker phone! It may not have all the bells & whistles that some people want from a phone, but for me the most important feature of a phone is that it transmits and receives the signal completely clearly. I also like the option to screen calls on any of the handsets. I don't have caller ID and screen my calls, this feature is great! I love this phone so much that I bought five additional handsets to complete my home phone system. I could not be happier!

I can't speak to the quality of the product but the screen looks outdated when its all set up. From the pictures on the websites I looked at, the screen looked like it had high-tech images but really, it doesn't. I was a little embarassed because I bought this as a gift. I suggest you go to the store and look at it before buying.
