Obviously, just like the original. Very easy to integrate into my existing home phone system. This is the best phone system I have ever had. Very clear, long range, easy to program and use, it's got it all. And the phone book is shared among all the handsets. Phone is great. The only issue is that the CID doesn't display two lines at a time. It alternates the name and the number, so you can't see both at the same time. You can edit the name, so if it says out of area, you can change it to Mom's Cell or something like that so you can see right away who it is. If you do that for all the ones that don't show correct name, then it's perfect.
That's the only con I've found and it is fixable with the edit function.
