Excellent replacement for broken original phone, except for black backlit numbers. The original white backlit numbers were much easier to see, especially at night. Otherwise, a perfect replacement with all the original bells and whistles.

Having happily owned several Panasonic phone systems in the past, and having done the requisite research, I settled on this model. Sound quality, range, and lack of interference are good, and it has all of the features I wanted, but there are two areas in which I am dissatisfied: 1) battery life is paltry, which is a major inconvenience if the unit is left off of the charger for more than a couple of days; 2) the display does not always show the handset number -- you often have to do some navigating to get it to appear -- which makes it more complicated to use the "locator" feature to find units you misplace.Digital camera Review: Best phone ever!

Short & sweet - this system has caused peace to descend on my house! No more shouting between floors (because of the intercom mode), no more waiting for information from the person who picked up a phone call (you can have up to three handsets in conference), and there's zero fuzz on the line when I'm at the other end of the house. We purchased this phone based on customer reviews. Since day one I had nothing but issues with the phone. The phone will shut off in the middle of a call, and it wont turn back on. I constantly get error messages that say "no link to ac unit" but my wires are all fine. I called tech support and they told me I had to take the batteries out and charge it for 8 hours to clear the error message. What a joke. By the way it never helped.
