Digital camera reviews of Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7K 7.2MP Digital Camera with 6x Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)Digital camera Review: A brand new winner Summary: 5 Stars
Lumix was just released -- "brand new". Although I had wanted a digital camera for a long time, my research pointed to the Lumix DMC-LZ&K, although it was not to be released for at least another month. It was well worth the wait!! My high marks range across the board: small size that is easily handled, the clarity of photos, the simple to use modes, including movie. I can't say enough positive about this new release. And I have appreciated as well as enjoyed this purchase.
Digital camera Review: A grest camera!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This camera takes amazing pictures under almost all conditions. Its "anti-shake" technology really seems to work and the 6x optical zoom realy adds additional performance to an already feature packed camera. I especially like the fact that I can use AA batteries which are available everywhere. This adds a little bulk to the camera but it is still very compact. If you are looking for a great all round digital camera at a great price you need look no further!
Digital camera Review: A horrible product Summary: 1 Stars
Its a horrible product. When you zoom in it gets fuzzy and stays fuzzy. Pictures come out dark and its not a great product. I bought it because I've always enjoyed Panasonic products but this one stinks!!!!
Digital camera Review: A very good camera for good light Summary: 4 Stars
The camera behaves very well in good light.
in dim lighting the noise --and noise reduction-- effects make a bit of post processing necessary.
I really like the optical zoom and the small size.
Battery life is good for a 2 AA battery camera.
A good camera for spontaneous shooting.
Digital camera Review: All the pluses listed by others, but one minus to consider Summary: 4 Stars
I bought three of these cameras (one for me, one for my wife, one for my daughter) after some extensive research. Combine the zoom ratio with image stabilization, # of megapixels, large LCD viewer, and the incredible price and it's a great buy.
HOWEVER--haven't seen enough attention paid to the fact that there **is no eyepiece viewer.** To see what you will be taking a picture of you have to look at the LCD, and bright sun will wash out the LCD image almost completely, leaving you no good way to compose your shot. This is only a problem in bright sun, but that is still significant--especially if you use the zoom (and why pay extra for one if you don't use it?) and need to see how far it has zoomed! If you need to zoom and frame in bright sun, I would add $30-$40 for a shade for the LCD so you can see it under all conditions. Photosolve.com is one supplier of a shade that also magnifies the image slightly.
