I was looking for a small, light, portable radio with a speaker. This one fits the bill. It's very light. The sound is decent enough for its size. If you crank the volume up too high, the sound might get harsh. But that's ok since I take it around the house with me when I do chores. It fits what I need. This is an excellent radio to take out to the ballpark. It is an good size to hold grasp in the palm of my hand. The sound quality is good for its size. And, the radio is simple to use: one dial for to click on and adjust volume, and another dial to tune in your favorite station. Seems to work for many hours on one pair of AA batteries. The transistor radio is of supereior quality. I had a nice radio which was also a pocket radio that didn't sound any where near as good this one. It sounds like a a tunebox that plugs into a wall soket at a price of no less than double the price of the radio I purchased. It is durable and it is obvious I will be listening to it for some time.
