These $100 headphones busted after a year of gentle use. As the warranty is a paltry 90 days, a series of hard-to-understand phone support technicians were unsympathetic. They suggested I buy a new one.
I suggest that I will never buy another Panasonic product again, and I encourage you to do the same!

These headphones are very comfortable and well worth $100. These are NOT Bose quality but that's what you pay the $300 for. The quality of the music is lacking but I bought these for the noise canceling part. Just tried these (my first NC headphones) on a cross-country flight, and they were fantastic. Very comfortable, even during long wears. Cuts out nearly all of the flight noise - listening to music and DVDs is great. Comes with nice hard-case and airplane adapters. With NC turned off, significant noise is still cut out. Bought at the time for $75 incl shipping - cannot be beat at this price, or even at $100 which seems to be the general street price!!
Sound quality with NC on was great, however, with NC off I thought they sounded kinda bad. Very bassy or muffled even. Didn't bother me too much, since I have other headphones for non-NC situations. I'm not sure if this is just my pair, or how these headphones normally sound without NC.
One of the best items I have bought recently!!!

My headphones just came in a few days ago and I absolutely love it. I'm a college student so when I study, I like to study in complete silence which is very hard to do at times. The 92% noise cancelling feature does not lie. I bought these headphones primarily for the purpose of not even listening to the music but just to get some peace and quiet and it works! It doesn't cancel all noises (what headphone really does?) but it does cancel most noises to the point where the noise gradually fades into the background so you don't really notice it. There's not any irritating sounds coming from the headphones itself to block out all other sounds unlike other headphones. very rarely you will hear a short buzzing but just tweak the headphones a little bit and it'll go away. Overall this product is fantastic and I recommend this for anyone who is looking for noise cancelling headphones. This is well worth the hundred bucks. The reason it didn't get the full 5 stars is because although the quality is great, the headphones aren't so comfortable for those who wear dangly earings like myself or for anyone with glasses. I did a lot of research before I bought these. Turns out that they are awesome! You turn on the switch and you're sitting in virtual silence (for the most part). They kill the low rumble, but they won't cancel things like people's voices. I took them on an airplane for the first time this year, hit the switch and fell right to sleep. This was sitting in the exit row, close to the engine. Audio quality is perfectly fine, I guess that also depends on what type of device you're using (ipod or whatever). The cable detaches from the headphones so you can use these alone too, just to reduce noise. Highly recommended.
