I have used my Panasonic RP-HG10 behind-the-head headphones for nearly 3 years and the foam is finally wearing thin, so I ordered this RP-HT21 as a replacement. After using them for a couple days, I have re-ordered the old HG-10's and will give this HT-21 headphone away.
Both the HT21 and HG10 sound great (identical), but the old HG-10's are much more comfortable for me. After a couple minutes I forget I am wearing them, but this new HT-21 puts pressure in front of my ears. The older ones cost twice as much (still less than $10 on Amazon) but the comfort is worth the extra few dollars. Some people complain the HG10's are uncomfortable, but I suspect they don't wear them properly. The bows that go around the cans must be worn behind the ears just like eyeglass bows.
Also, with the old ones I can wear a hat when doing yard work, but the behind the head design is not good for sitting in a tall backed chair or laying in bed (or laying on the couch). Both have the 'L' shaped plug that I like. It doesn't stick out to get snagged on clothing or whatever.

This is just what I was looking for - an inexpensive high-quality set of headphones. It fits on top of your head (traditional - the way I like it) as opposed to behind your head. Great sound quality.Digital camera Review: Could order half a dozen for the price of one!

I just needed a cheap pair of headphones for work. The sound quality doesn't need to be geat (although it's not bad at all) they just need to work and be moderately durable and easily replacable. These fit the bill perfectly. Audio snobs will probably compalain that it lets in tons of noise but you just need to crank the volume of a few. They do let quite a bit of noise out, which isn't the best for an office setting but it's managible. Even thought this headphone was inexpensive, I bought it thinking it is Panasonic. If any of you are planning to use this for you computer, don't waste even one dollar on this because it just does not work. You have to keep fiddling with the cord to get the crackling sound to stop. I had to coil the wire around a few times just to get a sound. Not worthy of the Panasonic label, I would've expected this from a no-brand headphone.
