Digital camera Review: Disappointing near miss from Patagonia

This case is so close to being a hit... protective Neoprene, protective zipper to keep dust out, pocket for cards or a note, two handy tote handles to stabilize the Kindle as you read or to hold the case by - it's good quality, which one expects from Patagonia. The MAJOR MISS are the four too-small elastic corner loops to retain the Kindle in the case - these are small and loose, so you are nearly guaranteed to have your Kindle eject at some point, rendering the entire purchase a huge waste of money and effort. The only way to use this mishap is to remove the Kindle for reading when you use it; to not do so is to invite disaster. Didn't anyone actually TRY the prototype before the production order was given? What a huge disappointment, particularly as I purchased this for a gift.Digital camera Review: Do NOT buy this cover!

I purchased this Kindle cover after going through many that are available on Amazon and elsewhere, and reading reviews. The biggist issue people seemed to have with this cover was the "sticky" zipper, which I can fully attest too. But, apparently that "works out" over time.
I am a commuter, and this morning I was sitting in my car at the train station reading my Kindle. As the time approached for my train to arrive, I was getting out of my car. I was in the middle of reading and was going to continue reading on the train, so I closed the cover over my Kindle but did not zipper it. Imagine my shock when, as I turned to exit my car, the elastic straps that hold the Kindle in place failed, and my Kindle went flying to the hard asphalt parking lot, doing significant damage. To say I was unhappy is an understatement.
DO NOT BUY THIS COVER, and if you already have one, ZIPPER YOUR KINDLE IN before any kind of movement if you value it!

I purchased this when I got my new kindle a few weeks ago and I have already replaced it with a little bag I got from BAM. Within the first week the elastic holding the top left corner began to loosen and no longer holds my Kindle safely. The zipper is hard to zip and I had thought that maybe it was because it was a new zipper but it never got any easier with use. I had to remove the kindle to turn up the volume and turn it on and off, the only thing I could use while my Kindle was in the case was the charger. I am heartbroken that I wasted my $40 on this item and would love to get my money back... Do NOT buy thisDigital camera Review: Does just about everything I wanted it to do.

I had borrowed the leather Amazon case and didn't like the way it was open all the time, I was looking for something that completely encased the kindle. I bought this, and have been very happy with it, my only complaint would be that the kindle slips out of the four corner tabs and this gets to be a little annoying. This is a very nice Kindle cover...I loved that it could zip around the Kindle. Unfortunately, it was too large for the newest version of Kindle and could not securely hold it. I had to return this item.
