Digital camera reviews of Peek Mobile E-mail Device (Cherry)Digital camera Review: BETTER THAN EXPECTED Summary: 5 Stars
AT FIRST IT WAS SLIGHTLY DIFFICULT TO GET SET UP,THEN ONCE CUSTOMER SUPPORT ANSWERED A FEW QUESTIONS MY DAUGHTER WAS ON HER WAY TO TEXTING AND RECEIVING HER EMAILS... SHE USES THE PEEK FOR CONTACTING ME INSTEAD OF THE CELL. THE TURN AROUND IN RECEIVING RESPONSES BACK WAS LESS THAN A MINUTE.
Digital camera Review: Beautiful in red. Easy mobile email Summary: 5 Stars
Easy to get going. Supports most major email accounts like Yahoo or AOL. Low cost per month and no contract.
Digital camera Review: Can't activate... No customer service Summary: 1 Stars
Very hard to open package. They use that Chinese junk plastic blister packaging.
Activated online Friday night. Waited for 20 minutes then turned on the Peek. No service (red x on antenna icon). Turned Peek off then on again. No service.
Customer service phone line was closed already. Won't open until Monday. Emailed [...]. No response. And my subscription time that I paid for is ticking away.
I thought Peek was known for their exemplary customer service! Guess not anymore.
Digital camera Review: DO NOT BUY - WILL NOT WORK Summary: 1 Stars
Not sure which Peek this is but only Peek9's will work. The older Peek Classis or Peek Pronto, which I purchased, do not work. The company changed service providers and with no notice sent an e-mail to users saying the Peeks would no longer work. No offer or a refund for activation fees, what is now a useless device, etc. Just an offer for you to pay more (admittedly a pretty small amount) for a new Peek9. Basically a dishonest company with awful customer service. When I got the e-mail saying no service, I tried over a period of about two weeks to contact customer service but after being on hold for over an hour every time, I just gave up.
Digital camera Review: Fantastic toy Summary: 5 Stars
a fantastic product. I was thinking of getting a blackberry or iphone and was not sure if I really needed email and internet access on the fly. So I gave peek a try.
I was astonished. The connection to my email account was ridiculously easy, the guy at the hotline was great, new what he was doing. And my emails kept flying in. After 2 weeks I realized that I also needed internet access, so I had to cancel and get myself an iphone, which is fantastic.
The only thing I didn't like was that when I wanted to cancel the service they left me on the phone for over an hour waiting. I then hung up and called again, this time choosing to talk to the support. Everything was done in 5 minutes.
I can highly recommend this service, for anybody who needs to read his emails on the go, just to be updated. And even if you don't like it, what is the risk? $20 for a month subscription.
